  1. Don’t believe in bartenders hosing clients on Azamara ship - they’d rather pour some lax in the drink 🙂
  2. Not with that attitude, for sure! 🤣
  3. Before my first Azamara cruise I was worried about the smoke being all around the jogging track as the smoking area is just below in the corner of the pool deck - and found nothing like that at all.

    Online payment

Thanks everyone! Hope they introduce it one day - it may reduce the calling line traffic too 🙂

    Online payment

My upcoming cruise was booked online through AZ website. Last week, with the payment deadline approaching, I got the reminding message from Azamara that said “to make a payment, simply log in to your Guest Account on www.azamara.com or call”. I logged in and spent quite some time trying to figure online payment to no avail. Can anyone advise on AZ online payment procedure? Does such a thing exist at all?
  6. Points reciprocity is only between Azamara and Celebrity.
  7. Sorry it came out ambiguous- I was referring to the voyage planner on Azamara’s web site 😅
  8. Yes, you are absolutely right. Here I made a screen shot of how it looks on my phone’s voyage planner.
  9. AzAmazing evening is posted well in advance on the cruise shore excursion list in your online planner. For example, my upcoming cruise is in December but AzAmazing evening was posted online a month ago.
  10. I don’t think one needs to identify oneself as gay to book on a gay cruise - any adult can do.
  11. Yes, I got the perks due to past Celebrity trips on my first AZ cruise.
  12. This doesn’t look like Schweppes to me. Is it even worse than the Royal Club?
  13. Yes, Atlantis president officially announced it today at the Oceania Marina Baltic cruise. Vista booked for July 5-15 2023, Athens to Venice.
  14. Oh, fantastic! Would be just great to see some Aquamar Kitchen sample menus - the concept on O website is a bit vague.
  15. Our room attendant told us the rooms on embarkation day are supposed to be ready by noon.
  16. On embarkation day, we checked out of our hotel in the morning, left our luggage in the storage room and went sightseeing, then picked up our luggage and boarded our ship in the afternoon.
  17. We were departing from Barcelona some 2 months ago, were allocated the 4pm slot as well. Went to the terminal at 2:30pm and just joined the queue - no one was checking the time assignment. The embarkation was fast and smooth.
  18. Thanks, Phil - I should have mentioned that - this deck 6 "obstructed view" cabin is the one we stayed in and I used its square footage as the worst case scenario. Before the cruise, we were worried about the cabin size and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it feels when we walked in. Other OV cabins are bigger indeed.
  19. Out of curiosity, I looked at the numbers. Azamara cabin SQ footage: Interior - 158, Oceanview - 143, Verandah - 175 + 40. Celebrity Silhouette cabin SQ footage: Interior - 183, Oceanview - 176, Verandah - 192 + 54. Azamara cabins are some 30 sq ft smaller; the difference really shows in the bathroom, which is at least 10 sq ft or 50% smaller; the cabin itself turns out to be only 10% smaller than those on Celebrity ships.
  20. I'm glad I went to see the original Azamara Drawing Room on board the Pursuit earlier this year. It's beautiful and cozy - and painfully empty each time we went there. So yes, after seeing the room, I got to understand the reasons behind refurbishing it into the bar on the Onward and I'm looking forward to have the Atlas bar experience this December. Furthermore, I don't know how much of a cash cow it is at the moment but one thing I noticed on the Pursuit is the lack of TVs in the lounges; when we wanted to watch a sports event, we had to retreat to our cabin. We asked the bartender in the Den about it - he looked around in surprise and told us, he's only been with the Pursuit for a month having been transferred from the Journey, and over there, they used to have some. So, talking about cynical, I'm wondering if bringing in some elements of sports bar, e.g. TVs streaming various sports events may help increasing the revenue at the Atlas bar.
  21. The triumph of the spirit over the matter) Look at the recent posts here on Azamara message board: "Complimentary drinks", "Ultimate drinks package", "Current wine list help", "Azamara drink packages and included drinks", "Is there a limit to the number of bottles of wine you can bring on board?"... The only one about the library is "Azamara Onward replaces library with a bar!"🤷
  22. We've got the cabin assigned some 4 days prior to the departure; it turned out to be an upgrade. So I'd say not having your cabin assigned till the last minute may be a good sign)
  23. Some 3 weeks ago I did some Celebrity vs Azamara cruise pricing comparison for the same routes, time of year, and trip duration. Celebrity with the "always included" package, which is comparable to basic Azamara, was some 25% more expensive. I really want to see what agencies sell much better category on Celebrity with "always included" for the price Azamara offers at the moment - we will consider it for the next year.
  24. Thanks for the review. A follow up question: Where would you purchase Oceania or Viking cruise at the same price as Azamara?
