I have been cruising several times a year for twelve years in regular verandas and have made it to 689 points. The odds of my making it to 3000 points (Zenith) before dying are between slim and none.

Is that Zenith? Almost unattainable unless you cruise all the time in suites.

Very well put. I am surprised they are the same price given that Silhouette is a much better ship for the reasons stated. I sailed on Connie once for the itinerary. Never again.

No infinite verandas on S class. This great innovation had not yet been invented when Silhouette was built.

I found that Odessey of the Seas had a similar hard ice cream set up in the Windjammer to that of Celebrity. Although the ice cream was not as good. On the other hand, Harmony of the Seas didn't have hard ice cream in the Windjammer all the time. I had to purchase ice cream on the Boardwalk.

I found Heineken Zero in most bars and dining rooms.

I'm so glad I didn't cancel my cruise when I heard about the lack of stickiness of the buns!

Yes. I got much more in Sailor Loot with a TA.

Way excessive--especially when multiplied by multiple kids and parents. But some parents have trouble saying no to their kids. Witness Disney.

I don't see any downside to booking now. If the new system works out better for you, you can rebook.

People in suites pay much more. And are less likely to believe that doing away with verandas in favor of windows is a cruise enhancement.

That has been what I have seen too in general. I'm sure there are some deals available but not many.

That is the real purpose of the IVs. But so many people believe the hype that it’s a cruise enhancement.

The O spa doesn’t compare with the Viking spa.

I don't believe the non-complimentary excursions are cheaper than Celebrity or Royal. Not sure of other big ship excursion prices. They may be cheaper than Oceania though. I haven't done a comparison.

One thing I dislike about Viking is the included excursions. Of course, you are paying for them. But the ones you pay for are very basic and you often end up having to purchase the better excursions--and often don't have time to do both because of time in port. So you pay for something you don't use or you just limit yourself to a mediocre excursions. If excursions are to be included, I would rather it be a flat amount (like the OLife credit currently available) that can be used or upgraded.

The spa area. Pool, hot tubs, snow room, cold plunge pool.

Viking's spa is wonderful.
