They are still going with Cabo last on the 8 day so it's a no go for me. Leaving Cabo at 2:30 pm is ridiculous. Cabo used to be first with a much more reasonable 11 am to 7 pm schedule.
All this talk got me booked on the Legend out of Galveston in Nov 2025. Couldn't resist Celebration Key, HMC, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. Just hope Galveston isn't too hard to get to from Houston Hobby Airport!
This is definitely a no show situation. No volunteering any info at the terminal either, they are just arriving separately. The guy who cannot go shouldn't even call Carnival after the fact. Let sleeping dogs lie and he will get his port fees and any prepaid gratuities, excursions, etc back some time after the cruise.
I have been wanting to do this also but every time I go to check out the paypal option briefly flashes and then disappears. AARP states it is temporarily not working for the last month or so.
That is what I do except I load a bunch all at once. The good thing about gift cards on sail and sign is they will refund any excess balance over 10 dollars at the end of the cruise to a new gift card.
Carnival is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get 😉 but this should be easy to solve by logging into your carnival account and it tells you what day you check in. I am assuming it is Nov 18th because that is what you stated.
What is discussed on Cruise Critic is but a tiny fraction of what goes on in the cruise world. All the blue card people and others that have no clue about no shows are the vast majority of people buying and taking cruises. On a grand scale no shows are likely not a problem and they are still taking in double the booking cost for one person even in the event of a no show.
You need to email and complain. I have emailed several times so far. There is zero reason to not give us the cruise summary. It is a computer generated pdf file that costs Carnival nothing and has been around for a very long time. It had a wealth of info that was easy to save and or print.
I logged in just now and the scratch off game was working again but I didn't win anything. I logged in last night at 10pm pacific time and got the 50 points still for logging in. Go figure!
It happens occasionally. My blink camera sends notifications when I am on a cruise. I think even My Domino's app has sent a notification onboard. It is a certain type of notification that Carnival needs for their app so other apps sneak through.
If you don't like big crowds the Miracle will be good for you. Yes, it will be gawdy and outdated compared to the Panorama but the flow around the buffet is good. The Radiance seemed just as crowded or more crowded than the Panorama to me, especially with the narrow chokepoints around Guy's and Blue Iguana being ridiculously narrow. For a nice uncrowded walk try deck three exterior on the Miracle. You can walk around almost the entire ship outside including the very aft behind the MDR. In the front you can go inside and continue around Gatsby's Garden and complete a loop. Deck 10 is similar for walking around almost the entire ship. I will be on the Miracle for the 8th time on Nov 2nd for a quick 5 day cruise.
