  1. What's the date of your cruise? If it's more than year out they probably haven't established the cost yet.
  2. Go through a TA, get yourself declared as a group, then you get group bookings and your dining will be booked together.
  3. I'm actually shocked that I've not found the new menus to be horrible. I'm traveling with a 7 year old and my usual default of the UDP wouldn't have been a good choice for the two of us. I can find several possible choices in the appetizers each night. The main courses have been meh, but that's okay for this 4 night cruise. One dessert was terrible, but they replaced it immediately.
  4. Should be able to walk off by 7. Just make sure you line up early so you can be off in the first wave, especially if you need an elevator to get your bags to deck 4 (5?).
  5. We always tip $5 to $10 and add extra if they have brought us our D+ drinks.
  6. All my dining packages are up by 24% or so. No deal there...
  7. Because if they only travel on Caribbean round trip cruises once a year and have 4 or more in the family, it's an expense they don't want to incur since they don't technically need it.
  8. Yes, they run promotions. You stateroom attendant will know when it will be.
  9. The ability to switch is limited. You cannot do it if you are in the UK, you can from North America
  10. If you are paying the going rate for a drink, the 18% is already tacked on. I wouldn't pay more on top of that. I tip a few dollars in the WJ if someone has gone out of their way for me, such as gotten us an extra beverage, offered to get us something special. As far as the waiters at the end of the cruise, it depends on the service. We often give $20 both to the waiter and the assistant waiter. With the new menu policies it's hard to imagine what they could do extra to wow us.
  11. It's Royal Caribbean, consistently inconsistent. It also depends on the port and how they handle it. I've found the smaller ports are looking more closely at arrival times. Once that timed group goes through, if there is space, they allow those waiting to go through. I just find it better to wake up early/stay up late on the first day we can register for our set sail pass to get the time I want.
  12. Found this when I googled your question: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2682104-bed-placement-on-oasis-of-the-seas-ocean-view-balcony/%23:~:text%3DTo%20determine%20the%20bed%20placement,the%20bed%20by%20the%20balcony.&ved=2ahUKEwizrrH7qOv-AhXSM0QIHTDZD7cQFnoECBcQBQ&usg=AOvVaw1CrF09V46Zq7PV15siQvll
  13. I do feel differently, because I know that I am not perfect, so I cannot expect perfection of others. I worked in a field that was full of gray, and had to understand that sometimes, despite our best efforts, things were beyond our control.
  14. I can guarantee that every cruise line has something that doesn't work for someone. Just because I don't care for the food in two venues doesn't mean I don't like other things about Royal. I have nothing in my life which is perfect, doesn't mean I discard it based on a few flaws.
  15. There are plenty of things Royal could do to improve, there's no reason not to discuss it with others who sail Royal. I had a horrible cruise in the beginning of April, but it was because of the passengers, not the crew. I have eaten only once each in the MDR and Windjammer since Covid because the food is so bad. Doesn't mean I don't have 6 more cruises booked, I still love the music and shows, cabins are comfortable, D+ drinks are great and I buy a specialty restaurant package.
  16. But you only gave advice for those on computer!!! On my Android phone (don't know nothing about Apple phones), I go up to the home icon, go to account, go to ignored users and add a name. It's a lovely feature
  17. I have wondered the same thing. For some it's a once a year/5 ,year/lifetime splurge. For me, I'm happy in a balcony. Others like inside cabins. I can tell you if I spent that much, it would be on something other than a Royal Caribbean week. We are spending about $15,000 for a 3 week land vacation and 28 days on a cruise ship. We are having a blast! We did hot air ballooning this am.
  18. The cabin may actually have been cleaned by someone else on turn around day as they utilize many staff to do that
  19. Your significant other needs to reside at the same address as you, but otherwise should be no issue with getting them linked to you status
  20. Olis Trolley has better access than some others, I recommend them.
  21. We are the same, our needs are simple. All we ever ask for is daily ice and fresh glasses for our wine. We have even been known to use the glasses from the bathroom.
  22. And it's amazing that it's the same when Spring break happens every year.
  23. We have done the Anthem multiple times and love it. They have Jamie's, which we much prefer over Giovanni's. Otherwise equally as nice
  24. I sailed the Odyssey last fall in Italy and Greece, I'd have to say the good far outweighed the bad because we loved everything except the food at Giovanni's. We're looking forward to the TA this Fall
