  1. It looks like the "Picnic" one has a platform and the "Party" one does not and that is the major difference.
  2. Apparently no one wants to read the whole post. Maybe the Glory wasn't in NOLA back then. Yes, the Holiday was retired. They are asking about their OLD itineraries. Maybe they wanna make a memory book or something and just can't remember where they went.
  3. Someone in my cruise group found an image with the superhero themed party listed as well but it wasn't listed in John Heald's most recent update about theme nights. FWIW, you found that mention on the Aussie version of the Carnival site. Maybe that is something unique to those cruises.
  4. What I've been able to research for my upcoming Vista cruise is the following: 2 elegant nights should be the first sea day (10/22) and the second to the last night (10/26); I believe we will have Rock the Promenade in Atrium 10:15 (10/21) 70s/MoTown Party in Atrium 10:15 (10/22) 80s Rock N Glow Party on Lido 10:15 (10/23) Silent Night on Lido 10:30 (10/25) Mega Deck Party on Lido 10:15 (10/26) White Hot Night Farewell Party in Atrium 8:30 (10/27) And according to past year's Fun Times, the Halloween party was the second sea day.
  5. It is an adult scavenger hunt, so yes, depending on how serious you want to get about it, there could be running.
  6. Drink prices vary but you can look at the drink menus at the Prof Cruise site. https://profcruise.com/carnival-bar-menus-and-drink-prices-2023/ You don't make reservations prior to boarding You sign up for early dining when you book. If you didn't when you booked it might already be unavailable. Check your booking info. You can choose YTD instead. Look up the Carnival Hub app. It will show everything happening aboard. You can also ask your steward for the Fun Times to be delivered daily for the paper copy.
  7. I'm not sure it will let you leave it TBA. If not, just enter your friend's name that was going to go. When you go to actually check in at the port you can tell them then that the person isn't able to come. The taxes & port fees will be refunded to the method of payment used when booked.
  8. That's the same thing I heard. This is the first I'm hearing about TABC. Very interesting. Technically though Carnival's drink package isn't unlimited. You are limited to 15 (alcoholic) drinks. Subtracting 8 hours of sleep from 24 hours means you are getting (slightly) less than 1 drink per hour you are awake. So It makes me wonder if it really is TABC or the taxation instead.
  9. Well they need to get their ducks in a row then because they have posted conflicting information. It even says in the Cheers link that I posted that the bucket of beer will charge one beer to your cheers and the other five you pay for out of pocket. I will say it seems absolutely ridiculous that if you have Cheers you can't buy souvenir stuff. And personally I've had cheers and had no problem buying the souvenir cups. They are sitting on top of my cabinets right now in fact. I don't know if I'm remembering correctly but I thought I just had to pay the difference between what the drink & cup cost minus the $20 Cheers allowance. Why wouldn't they want to make MORE money by selling souvenir cups to people? Oh sorry, I can't sell you the fish head, you have Cheers. If it is actually something that is against the rules, it doesn't seem like something they enforce. I have no desire to buy the fishbowl but if I did I would totally test it out on my Vista sailing on the 21st.
  10. I don't see that policy on the website. I don't know where you copied your info from but I got this from their FAQ just now. And as for "sharing drinks," I know people who have Cheers have gotten the buckets of beer (of course not covered under Cheers but according to your image, not allowed) and I haven't seen anyone say such a thing.
  11. It isn't "you can't purchase a fishbowl if you have Cheers" it is you can't purchase a fishbowl WITH Cheers. That's 36.95 coming out of your pocket. Doesn't matter if it is Day 1 because you can't use your Cheers to purchase it. The only way I would think it would matter would be if you try to get refills. Maybe refills could be purchased with Cheers but obviously not on Day 1. Seems like there might have been a deal to get a discount if you had Cheers seeing some of the replies on this thread but that wouldn't work on Day 1 out of Galveston (Or NY).
  12. That plating is a little unfortunate though. It looks like someone stepped on the plate in the chocolate.
  13. You go to your Booking & Order details. Scroll down until you see View Invoice Details. Click on that and it should tell you at the bottom inside a box how much OBC you have left.
  14. You should have seen this huge banner at the top of the website. They are still working out some glitches. It isn't normally like this.
  15. Sadly it is not showing up for offers on my Amex 😞
  16. Yes, they adjust the price of Cheers to account for the days you can't use it.
  17. Carnival is the parent company of HAL. So they are giving permission to themselves? 😆
  18. Kinda depends if you care about where you get your drink. If you don't care about only having to hang out at the casino, then you wouldn't have to buy cheers regardless.
  19. Carnival has coin pushers (at least on the three ships I've been on)
  20. You might be confusing it with the Casino offer for DOU (Drinks on Us) which, unless you are lucky, will only apply to the person with the casino offer in the cabin. That's the only way I can think of that you would be able to get Cheers for a single person in the cabin. Otherwise it just isn't done.
  21. I went to the prof. cruise site and went to the bar menu section then made a list of everything I want to try for my next cruise. 😆 I have 43 drinks on that list LOL.
  22. Did you post a different post about the Valor? I also did not enjoy cruising on her but I love cruising on her sister ship, the Glory. So I'm just curious why you might have had such a negative experience. I hope your trip to AK is amazing! I hope I get to book one there soon.
