On the Silhouette in Nov there was a new Martini Bar menu. Most of the Martinis used Kettle One. Not many of the old drinks were listed on the new menu. Didnβt spend much time at the Martini Bar as it didnβt have the atmosphere that we were use to. The BTs werenβt very entertaining and something was lacking in the drinks. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Live Review from Connie - Christmas Cruise December 22nd-28th
miched replied to go.without.you's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The CC activities list is sometimes hidden in all of the papers, or folder that is either on the bed or desk at the start of the cruise. Sometimes the attendants are just overloaded with their duties and miss something. On our recent cruise we mentioned we found in an item in a drawer to the room attendant. We were asking if it belonged in the cabin or if the previous passengers left it. He got very upset and thought we were complaining about the drawer not being emptied. He was almost in tears said that he had so many cabins that he didnβt have time to look in every nook and cranny. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -

There are many different grades of Reidel glasses. I was in a very upscale wine store and seen Reidel wine glasses selling for $5. I asked the owner and he said they are bar quality. I am sure that is what we get in Luminae, or Blu. They donβt have the sharp cut lip and seem a little thicker. If not they would be pilfered. A few years ago my wife asked for another glass to take the wine out of Blu as she didnβt finish it. The server said take it, no problem. We went to the martini bar and the person that was sitting next to us seen the glass and mentioned that is a Reidel and you should take it home. I said if you want it you can have it when emptied. He denied my offer. ππ€·ββοΈπ± Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

We do to Celebrity what we complain Celebrity does to us

The complaints are because we book a cruise and pay for what was being offered. We are paying what they are asking. When we get on the cruise the services have been cut and the products have been eliminated. We arenβt getting what we paid for and agreed to. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ- 43 replies

I agree on this. I like sports and watch some of it but it canβt be a retreat if it is turned into a sports bar. It is also annoying when a group constantly takes over and turns the place into their private party area. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Then it should read as a place where you can read YOUR book and etc and making it appear as if it a place that has it available or provides it Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I looked on the app for my next cruise. Attached is a screen shot. This is the description for The Retreat Lounge or as it is referred to on the Constellation, Michaels Club How can you watch the big game, read the latest best sellers, or catch up on the news? I have never seen a TV. There arenβt any books, and there isnβt any newspapers. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Has Celebrity ever had goose? I have seen other types of fowl on the menu, or buffet but never goose. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

For those that love Chocolate the Milk Chocolate Pill by Daniel Boulud is a must try. It is often overlooked or not noticed because it isnβt on the desert menu. It I was on the 2nd to last night of a cruise that the bread server suggested to us. She asked if we ever tired the Pill? We asked what it was and she told us that it was the desert by Boulud. From my experience on the Edge class ships reservations for some of the popular restaurants go very fast. If you do get the plan make all of your reservations ASAP. Donβt plan of making a reservation for the next day if you liked the restaurant because it will be booked. Do some research before the cruise and decide what you want and a backup plan. Find out where you can make the reservations and head there once you board. Eden gets fully reserved almost immediately. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ !

Thanks for all of the replies. I was curious as we are thinking of booking the Constellation only because it has a Mardi Gras cruise. I was looking at the deck plans and was curious where it would be held. With the prices of suites getting outrageous we will book either AQ or lower. If we donβt book AQ we would probably go to the Elite breakfast most mornings. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Where is the Elite breakfast held on the Constellation? I have tried the search and looked at the deck plans. The Tuscan grill is on deck 11 and the only other would be Qsine on deck 3. Those 2 restaurants switched locations from where they are on the Summit. On the Summit it is in the Tuscan grill. thanks Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Everyone doing a B2B gets 30 free minutes of wifi to do their survey. They will give you a code and once you activate it you have to use it. I think you have to do it within 2 days. I donβt know if it can only be used for the survey. We always had wifi so it wasnβt needed and not an issue for us. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Besides the chair not being able to fit under the desk. The drawers are very shallow. She also eliminated all of the shelves in the Bathroom And this was our balcony furniture in a SS on the Summit. The SS is now classified as a AQ SS it is a SS. It has an angled balcony making it larger. The SS also is larger in length by a few feet. It is Cabin 6132 Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Was watching one of those TV shows high lighting a cruise ship. Every show has to have some built in phony drama. Part of the false drama was the chef standing on a pier inspecting the vegetables and getting upset because he couldnβt accept the lettuce because it wasnβt fresh enough and it was on the menu that evening. He then had personal going thru hoops to find some lettuce. Pure BS. We were on a X ship and there wasnβt much in the bourbon selection that was in the premium package. . Excuse was a supply issue. I showed them a picture of the bourbon at Costco that had plenty of Woodford. No supply issue for them. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

When you go to the cashier they have your name and cabin number on a prepaid list. In Nov we waited in line 45 minutes to get our cards. They only had one cashier and I feel sorry for those that were playing in the casino and wanted to redeem their chips. After about 30 minutes another cashier was added but they only had one machine to register the cards. We got there about the time that they started to sell the cards. When we left the line was longer. It wasnβt a good system. If you do win and it is for casino play it is automatically added to your card. You donβt have to go to the cashier to redeem. This was on the Silhoutte, other ships may have a different and hopefully a better system. We purchased the cards at a discount before the cruise. We bought 3 thinking we would get the 4th one free as part of our CC perk. We were told that because the cards were discounted we didnβt get extra card. You need to figure out the math if you get a free card. We paid $24 for the 3 cards. It would have been $39.99 for 3 to get the 4th free card. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

We you purchase the card(s) you are entered into the game. You get the cards at the casino cashier. Everyone with a card is playing. When the game starts a card number will be generated to choose the contestant. If you arenβt the contestant you are still playing the game. They do this 2 times during the session and once again for someone to spin for a free cruise. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

We are on a different sail date and booked this tour at 50% off during the Black Friday Sale. Destination highlight: Panama Canal Locks and Culebra Cut Cruise Keep checking the tours for your cruise. They offer discounts and even if you booked it you can rebook at the lower price if there is a sale. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

The end of Nov is a bad time to roll out a new ship. We recently got off of a cruise close to Thanksgiving. We drove from Mi. I swear that every licensed vehicle was on the road. It was bumper to bumper for 1200 miles. Hotel prices were outrageous. We booked hotels in a year in advance as that is the earliest you can do it. When we were checking into the hotel we could hear the clerks telling people that they were sold out. Watching the news air travel seemed worse. Weather delays and holiday crowds. I made a mental note not to book any cruises during that time and to stay home. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ
