It was many years ago. I always keep roaming turned off on my phone. Don’t see any use for it. I am not sure how that international plan works but my niece went to a casino in Windsor Ontario. It is a city across from Detroit. She got hit will a large bill because she was texting and her phone was connected to I think was called Rogers Service. She purchased the international plan from AT&T to use for a future cruise. She also got a big bill for her usage on board the ship. Don’t really know the whole story but I don’t see the need to keep in touch with anyone unless it is really important. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The last time on the Beyond we went to get our free scoop of gelato. We were ready to give our card and was told it wasn’t needed as they didn’t charge for the gelato. There was only one flavor per day. Sometimes there is a very long line and other times walk up. It is in the buffet at the ice cream station. We recently got off of doing 3 cruises on Celebrity and didn’t even bother getting our free scoop on any of those cruises. It doesn’t seem to be any different than their ice cream. Put the two side by side and get it the taste test. Wouldn’t pay extra for it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We have did both. The create and pour was fun. They served some wine while the artist instructed us how to do a sketch. It was also very interesting The music and Mixology consisted of a BT making 4 different drinks while someone explained how to make it and what is in it while some music is being played by the band. It has been the same drink on different cruises. Manhattan, Mai Tai, Cosmo and something made with Pimms and I think Champagne. The Mai Tai doesn’t really taste like one and wasn’t that good. Actually none of them were worth drinking. As you can see this is how the drinks looked when we left. We had a drink pack but if we didn’t we probably would have finished them, The event last about 1/2 hour. On our last cruise they only made 3. They didn’t do the Cosmo. We have ATT. I have permanently turned off roaming. I live close to Canada and sometimes with roaming on we would pick up Canada and get hit with the bill. When we board the ship in FL we never had that problem with extra charges. We would turn on air plane mode after we connect to the ships internet as we usually have the internet package. It would be very easy to forget about doing that if we didn’t. We will also remind each other for the same reason. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The reason he did that was because I was there the first 2 days during the afternoon when my wife was napping. I would sit there watching the sports or just talking to him.or passengers. I would always ask for MM neat. I had about 3 by that time and when I asked for another he brought me the bottle and asked if I needed a straw. He was just messing around, everyone laughed and some asked me what kind of package I had. After that it became the standing joke whenever I order my first drink. I would ask for the MM and he would bring over the bottle and ask if I needed a straw. Naturally I didn’t get it all at once but I know I emptied a few of them. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were on the Beyond in Feb. This was posted in the casino. It is the qualifications for a comped cruise. We had a lot of SBC so my wife and I both ran it thru the VP machines once to “cash’ it out. I did about $500 or $600 and my wife did about the same. At the end I had 54 points. Bonus was 50 points also gave $1 free play. My wife ended up with 47. It wasn’t worth playing more to get the extra 3 points for a $1 free play. We ended up losing about 8% of our SBC. It looks like we got around 100 points/ $1000 played. At that rate I would have to play $4000 thru the machines losing $320 to get $100 off I think regular slots earn more. Don’t know what table game earn. Good luck gaming 💰💸🎰

Why would Celebrity require you to sign a receipt with a zero charge creating more paper when they are trying to go green and eliminate excess paper. It also adds more useless work for the staff keeping them from serving the passengers. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I don’t remember if there was on that cruise. It was fairly nice weather and the seas were rather smooth. There were times on all ships when the seas were rough that you would hear creaking, and other noises. It does seem though as if the new Edge class ships have more louder noises in their cabins than the other classes. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

If you are in a suite and book one of those cabins for a family member that are also in the same category. That is the purpose of those cabins. You may have to pay more than the rate for an inside cabin. It is like those adjoining cabins next to the penthouse suites on the M class. We had 11172 and asked the attendant about the adjoining door to 11170. He said it is for families in that suite wanting the extras space for others traveling with them. It isn’t the same as booking a regular inside cabin, or IV with a SS. That is also why I suggested to look into it. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I always pack a few. One for the can, bottle of beer or water, and one for a glass. They wlll give you a glass of ice if you request it. I use these Freakers. The one that goes on a bottle will cover a wine bottle, and a 64 oz growler. They stretch that much and don’t loose their shape. I don’t think they have carbonated fountain drinks. Everything is in a can. I always see them pour from a can to make mix drinks that use soda. I mention this because some people do prefer a drink from a fountain over a can. Relatives have told me that they go to McD’s to get their colas because they say it is better than from a bottle or can. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Look into a Magic Carpet suite with the adjoining inside cabin, or IV cabin next to it. It may be cheaper and you each have a private cabin. Inside cabin 11184, or 11178. Or IV 11188, or 11170. They can be accessed thru an outside door, and the connectiing cabin. The line shows the connection between the cabins. The other is the outside door. This is deck 11, the other decks probably have the same available Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The benefit of a suite on that ship is a larger cabin, Michaels club, and Luminae, plus the easy embarkation. There are also other perks and private events in Michaels. You also get the premium bev pack and internet. We like suites but our next cruise is in a veranda. We couldn’t justify the big difference in cost. It is over $2,000 pp for a 7 day cruise after adding the option of the classic drink pack and WiFi, and upgrading to the premium pack that was on sale. Our last cruise was in a suite and most times for dinner we ordered from the MDR or Blu menu. We could also add the unlimited dining pack and still be way ahead. Suites aren’t selling out like they use to. You have to do a 10% deposit, and gratuities, and SBC are not included in the price like there use to be. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Totally agree. I don’t play that game and don’t ever want to. I was reading about all of the injuries to the senior citizens. I know injuries can happen to anyone but why push it. My neighbor has a full football scholarship at a Big 10 university . He was doing a drill running backwards and tore his Achilles during the season. He had to under go surgery and is still in rehab. This is a trained athlete. I wouldn’t want this to happen on a cruise. Can’t imagine the expense and everything else related to it just to show how great I am at the game. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Yes you will have to. I advise to keep them until you get the final invoice emailed to you after you get home. Just in case there are bogus charges. Plus check your folio everyday. There is also a TIP line. You do not need to add a TIP as 20% is automatically added unless you think they deserve more. If you find a BT that you like and have a favorite drink it may be beneficial to add a little extra grease as it could make the hand a little freer. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were on the Beyond in Feb. The Eden Cafe has added some items that are not free. There is a Lobster Roll for $14.99 and I think a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich for $9.99, there may have been other items. Could be wrong about the actual prices as it wasn’t anything I was really interested in, especially when it wasn’t included. Too many other options available without paying extra. I don’t know what you consider quiet. It all depends on the passengers. The WCB could be quiet but if there is a group of friends/family it can get loud. There is also the noise coming up from the Martini atrium/Martini bar area. Both places will start to get filled up for the 5pm HH. Eden could be quiet but they also have activities going on and also the HH crowd. Usually there will be a string soloist or a duo performing. For the most part it isn’t very noisy The Sunset Bar or the bar at the back of the buffet would also be quiet at that time. Not too many there as it is outside, and remote from the dining rooms unless they are eating in the buffet that night. The Club if open but there always seems to be some organized activity when it is. If in a suite the Retreat Lounge would be the best place. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We went to an adult game show on a different Silhoutte sailing. It was really idiotic. The theater was divided to make to teams. They would take a player/rep/volunteer from each side and they would have to guess the 10 most common words used for certain body parts, sex acts and etc. It ended up people yelling out words from the audience. Points were awarded for the wining side. In the end it didn’t matter who won. We were doing a B2B and didn’t attend on the 2nd cruise. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

One issue is that making the animals more of the resources and the ships are trying to go “green”. I doubt you would want to use this towel afterwards. One night we came back to our cabins and didn’t see any towels in the lav. Problem was that they were used to make the towel figures that were hanging from the ceiling. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Back in 1973 we were at Disney World. It was our 7th anniversary. We were at the Golf Resort for Brunch and had our 2 children with us. One as wearing a shirt that had Downriver AYSO Soccor on it. There were 4 females at another table. They said that we must be from Michigan as they were at one time from a city in “Downriver”. We started talking and they said that we really seemed to enjoy each other’s company. We said it was our 7th anniversary and we were celebrating with the Champaign Brunch. They thought it was amazing that we were married 7 years. They were all divorced after 2 to 4 years. We also thought it was great that we got past that 7 year itch. It seemed like a long time at that time. Not that it was a big chore or struggle to be married, or stayed married. It was just the time factor. Now it has been so many it is getting to be old stuff. Pushing 60 years. Pretty soon we can apply for SS and Medicare again based on that time span. 🤷‍♂️. When they ask the audience how long they have been married we never respond. Don’t see any purpose. It is like the person that sailed the most. Let them have the glory for what it is worth. I also want to know how old you have to be when you now become young? 🙄 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were confined to our cabin for 5 days because of testing positive for Covid in 2022, Had room service for the 5 days. We were in a suite and had butler service. After that I no longer want room service. if you don’t ask for something you don’t get it. Ex. Toast. That is what you got. No butter, jam or etc. Luminae burger. That is what you got, no mustard, ketchup for the fries, and etc. salt and pepper? Didn’t request it so we didn’t get it. Everything always arrived cold. We just got off of a few weeks in a suite. Didn't even ask for coffee to be delivered in the morning. We were happy to be able to leave our cabin and get it from cafe al Bacio and enjoy it out of our cabin or get it in the retreat lounge and enjoy that area. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
