  1. The traditional gty cabins are not refundable. TA's that have group space and still have space left in their group even when the category has no cabins left do have category specific guarantees that are refundable
  2. There is no difference in pricing of junior suites by deck unless it is a different category of JS. Lots of times there will be J3 and J4 that can be booked by 2 guests and the J3 can also be booked by 4 guests. It is the cabin classification that determines the price not the deck. In your case it was a coincidence that one JS category was on a different deck than another JS category.
  3. The answers will vary widely and most likely will not relate to your cruise. Back when ships were sailing at a lower capacity it seemed like peoples bids in many cases were accepted sooner than they are now Nice to see people replying with dates. Would be curious to know what ships they are on and how full they are
  4. The old rules were in effect for any bookings made outside of CWC which included all bookings made after March 31, 2022 or that sailed after Sept 30, 2022 On June 1 the NRD changed and FCC are no longer issued if the booking is cancelled. If the booking is cancelled then 100% of the deposit is held as a penalty In your original post that I quoted you stated there was a difference if you cancelled vs moved their reservation. For bookings made before June 1 there is no financial difference if you move vs cancel. - if you move a booking you pay a $100 pp change fee and the rest of the money gets applied to the new booking - if you cancelled the booking you would be assessed a $100pp change fee and the rest of the money would be issued as an FCC which could be applied to the new booking. For bookings made after June 1 then yes always make sure to move the booking to a new sailing vs cancelling
  5. That wouldn't make any difference unless they booked after June 1 when the NRD rules changed
  6. Your rep and the TA should have known that you can't add a 5th to a room unless it is one of the balconies that is designed for 5 (sofabed and pullman). Seems like they were confused by the rules about adding a third to a cabin that sleeps 2 which can be done for infants 2 and under as there is room for a pack n play. With 4 already in the room there is no room for a pack n play. I get that they won't upgrade you to a suite but you should be able to get a decent sum of OBC for your troubles
  7. If you booked a refundable deposit there is no charge to move to another sailing. If you booked a non refundable deposit there will be a $100pp change fee that is payable when you move the booking
  8. Insides and OV are great prices, balconies and above are still very high
  9. A big difference is that on Wonder there are only 60 full suites while on the rest of OA class ships there are over 100. I'm not sure Royal would have eliminated that many full suites had she been designed for the North American market.
  10. Not minutes but each diamond member get a 24 hour continuous period of free internet
  11. Awesome and since we have the UDP, it won't be an issue.
  12. I won't be doing a live review, We have a lot of long excursions booked and from what I hear the internet can be a challenge. I'm hoping to see something this week with either Ovation or Quantum that indicates whether or not we will be able to dock at Skagway
  13. Do you have anyone else that can go instead since its already paid for. Name changes can be done up to 48 (sometimes as close as 24) hours prior to sailing. Barring that, just be a no show at this point.
  14. On this years sailing they had the band Foreigner for entertainment. Royal big wigs on board.
  15. Could be a few hundered on board in which case they would probably use one of the venues for a Pinnacle lounge
  16. Airlines stopped paying commissions years ago except on some premium seats.
  17. Take screen shots and e mail your group if they don't want to download the app
  18. If I’ve recently recovered from COVID-19, will I still need to be vaccinated to sail? Will I still have to take a COVID-19 test before or during my cruise? A For Cruises Departing the U.S. ports, Puerto Rico and Canada A Certificate of Recovery will not be accepted in lieu of a vaccination record card for guests of vaccine eligible age. All Royal Caribbean guests age 12 and older must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before sailing. For all sailings departing on or after March 11, 2022, a Certificate of Recovery, for a positive COVID-19 case at least 11 days before boarding but no more than 90 days ago, may be provided in lieu of a pre-cruise COVID-19 test result to board the ship if it meets certain requirements. However, certain ports (listed below) will not permit guests to go ashore using a Certificate of Recovery. The following two documents must be presented: A certified medical health certificate from a doctor stating that you have fully recovered from COVID-19. It must meet the following requirements: Official letterhead from a healthcare provider, public health official or telehealth provider showing: Their name Their address Their phone number Confirmation of your recovery and completion of isolation Must be typed (not handwritten) and signed by the provider Must confirm the sample collection date of the positive PCR test, which must be a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise A positive result document for a COVID-19 PCR test taken a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise. An antigen test result will not be accepted with a Certificate of Recovery. The test results document from your test provider must include the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your positive result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “positive” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document.
  19. Yes. It is currently priced at $287.54 CAD for all July, Aug and Sept sailings so appx $215 USD plus 18% gratuity
  20. Nothing wrong on Cruising Power (TA website) so it appears just to be a glitch with the consumer website
