  1. I'm gonna have to quibble about your use of the word homonym: 1. words spelled the same with different meaning, or 2. words pronounced the same with different spelling. I don't think either of these are spell checker and/or proof reader weaknesses in the context of your thesis.
  2. Like that's ever stopped anybody.... Also, we can discuss the difference between fees (title of this thread) and fares.
  3. Not necessarily. I did two mock bookings on Celebrity Refection for November, 2024. For two people in the cabin the fare is $1,623.00. For a single in same category cabin, the fare is $1,541.75. Celebrity Cruises(1).PDF Celebrity Cruises.PDF
  4. Take it out once you're seated on the airplane.
  5. I take it that would be a refundable OBC?
  6. I agree; the closest location for espresso is at the soft ice cream/pizza location on the port side between the deck 15 pools.
  7. You're a wee bit late to this party.... the OP's trip was about three months ago.
  8. I didn't see much negative here; the general sense is that other cruisers aren't about to spend too much effort trying to convince somebody to do something they're (apparently) disinclined to enjoy. He who is convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
  9. I'd say 'gong show' is a polite understatement! The entire airport transfer was the absolute worst I've ever experienced; uncoordinated, lack of buses, insufficient assistance to mobility-impaired, long delay. Other than a major PITA for us, no impact as I booked our flight home for tomorrow at 1155 justbincase of disembarkation delays... but I never expected so ething like this. So, tonight at the airport hotel watching the Bills squish the fish in Miami.
  10. No doubt those with flights scheduled before noon are becoming a bit anxious.
  11. I am on the Emerald right now. Shows are (mostly) scheduled for 1930 and again at 2130. On this sailing, it has been necessary to show up at least 30 minutes beforehand to get two decent seats together, at least for the early show Perhaps it's because the ship is chock-a-block with passengers for a Christmas & New Year's cruise.
  12. It is worth the effort; make sure you pre-paid tickets with entry time window.
  13. I believe the mandate to strike was authorized on November 27 with earliest strike date January 3.
  14. Best to check with your travel disruption insurer. Hopefully, you did not book the AT flight after a strike mandate was approved.
  15. There were likely some laggards; doesn't really explain a couple dozen people showing up late from an excursion that are pretty easily accounted for as a group.
  16. A quiet, classy beach resort but not too pricey. Hmm.... what is your budget and how far do you want to travel to get to Miami for embarkation?
  17. I was on deck 7 watching the proceedings. Seems to me there was a large group of late arrivals all wearing a nice blue sticky Princess patch on their shirt indicative of a late excursion arrival. The tail end was brought up by a couple of Princess officers who clearly were on hand to ensure everbody arrived. Your apparent ourage and penalty for late arrivals seems be uncalled for in this case.
  18. Good news on the Ascent. We are doing a TA on ths ship in April... AQ class. Looking forward to it.
  19. Being able to sit out on and walk around the entire Promenade deck is something I enjoy.
  20. I am currently on Emerald Princess. Ship in good condtion, food and service good, amenities are good, entertainment fair; I am completely satisfied and I think you will be too.
  21. We took Sky Princess on December 16 then switched to Emerald Princess on December 23, both out of Fort Lauderdale. We did not have medallions, we were blue on the 'old' app, we did not have any type of electronic boarding pass, just passports and a paid up reservation. Lines to board were pretty lengthy and I noticed little if any differnce between blues and greens. Just go and you'll be processed without any problems. Old and new apps work fine on the ships... at least for us.
  22. Of course we don't. Way too much speculation going on here and, in my opinion, there's not much in the way of 'sensible' that can be offered for what is very likely (as you outlined) a more complicated scenario than any of us understand.
