  1. That Mel.... he was a Baaaad Boy!
  2. That's waaay more than any other Canadian city. TO snow pussies.
  3. Montreal (YUL) is a single terminal with three 'jetties' - Domestic, International and Trans-Border (US flights). There can be a bit of walking depending on your connections but nothing too difficult and you certainly don't have to take shuttles or trains. As for factoring in a Marxh snowstorm, good luck with that. If it's bad enough, there is a good chance you will not have to worry about a connection in YUL as you may not actually get there. On the plus side, if you can land in YUL, there is an excellent chance you'll be able to depart as they are very good/experienced at managing snow.
  4. I'd choose an alternate means of getting from Burlington to Manhattan in January but you may have your own specific reasons for wanting to do it. In any event, you should know the I90 (New York Thruway) is an electronic toll road. All the toll gates have been removed in favour of cameras... like the 417 but much less expensive. Just before you hit the road, you may want to pre-register your car at the following site to avoid any issues with the toll cops - and who knows abou any other US authority with access to a computer - later in life. https://www.tollsbymailny.com/vector/videotolls/paytollnow/signup.do?locale=en_US&from=Home
  5. Where are you coming from to connect to a flight to US from YYZ? If the origin is a Canadian city and your airline has checked your luggage through to your US destination, you don't retrieve your luggage in Toronto.... just go through CBP pre-clearance.
  6. Yes, that's about the size of it. Need to wait until you're onboard to sort out your specialty dining credits.
  7. You were able to count them? How do men wearing kilts fall into this?
  8. I'm with Sunprince - post #27 - on this. 75 minutes to make your connection from a Canadian domestic flight to a flight to the US is OK. Your baggage will be checked through; no nedd to pick it up. GE will help to speed things along, maybe, but it won't likely make a whole lot of difference. You ought to be just fine. I have done this often with flights originating in YOW routed through YUL.
  9. OK. We are staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites Dania in mid-December. It's not particularlly close to 'the beach' bit I don't believe for the price point you're looking at that you will get very close in any event. It is close to FLL and the cruise terminal and has breakfast and a pool.
  10. Beach for the day? I guess you have the Fort Lauderdale beach in mind? If this is important to you, I suggest you re-evaluate where you want to stay so that you don't waste much of your day (and afternoon daylight) farting around with luggage, taxis, ubers, etc... and the overall cost of this additional transportation.
  11. Pretty difficult for the casino to prove a personnis counting cards but since it provides an opportunity for the player to increase his chances of winning (i.e. decrease the casino's profit margin) it is strongly frowned upon. Since the casino is running the place, they may ask card counters to find a different source of gambling entertainment.
  12. It can be tough on here!!! Originally, you stated that the train you took was from Bordeaux to Paris; now it may be interpreted as Paris to Bordeaux... clarity and precision are absolutely necessary. Oh, yes... Air Canada sells tickets about 350 days in advance.
  13. All I tell you is the insurance (especially the medically fit to travel part) is about you and your health the day you are purchasing it, not the travel date and destination.
  14. Not much, but this is about qualifying for insurance coverage, not the planned travel.
  15. The big difference when boarding in Montreal, when compared to Vancouver, is that there is none of the fuss around pre-clearing US CBP.
  16. Also, there is a promotion on for the purchase of Aeroplan points; it's not particularly attractive from an overall price perspective unless you buy 100,000 points or more @ 3¢ per point and get the 100% bonus i.e. 200,000 points for 3,500 CAD (plus taxes). Handy if you're planning on traveling with Air Canada.
  17. I'm pretty sure you're going to need a letter from your doctor (attending physician) clearly stating that in his/her opinion you are 'medically fit to travel' when you apply for this special coverage/waiver.
  18. Are you looking for BUF to BOD with a return of AMS to BUF? Are you willing to make your way to/from YYZ for the flights?
  19. Don't think you're alone there. We drink a lot of water and, at least for now, the pre-purchase on Princess is a pretty good deal. And yes, I know we can drink it out of the tap!
  20. My goodness, you're considerate! We use Air Transat Club Class often (out of Montreal) and are usually pretty happy with it. For some locations, the scheduling may not work well and then it's back to Air Canada or United. We were able to get some good flights back and forth to Barcelona and Madrid for next April/May through Aeroplan but that's becoming trickier to get a decent business class deal.
  21. Oops... sorry qbout that. I had the idea you wew looking to get to Toronto and that's not likely the case.
  22. Have you looked at Air Transat for BOD to YYZ flights?
  23. OK. Don't you need to have an Irish passport book in order to get a card?
  24. Eye witness 'evidence' suggests otherwise.
