  1. I never use(d) PVP and can see this will inconvenience a number of people. I'm with Johnson/MEDOC group travel/medical insurance. Canadian travelers will have to start looking at Manulife, Blue Cross, RBC, etc... for their travel insurance needs.
  2. You can cross the land border with a passport or passport card, a NEXUS card or an EDL.
  3. Yes. If I wished, I could buy 25 USD for 33.75 CAD (a 35% exchange rate). Currently, that's a pretty good deal if a person plans on using OBC.
  4. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question but here is a bit of previous discussion on the same topic:
  5. Seems as though you know full well how to do this, but just can't at this time. Sorry... I have nothing else to offer.
  6. Hmmm... you ought to be able to do that by now. I did some on Emerald Princess about 10 months in advance. You need to do the reservations through the Medallion App. Are you using that?
  7. I don't 'feel' that at all or believe anything like it would happen. I simply suggested a (highly unlikely) scenario where a cruies line could save a few bucks by missing ports of call. I'd suggest though, that the real reason(s) for canceling port calls are due to bad weather and sea conditions, civil and labour unrest and safety/medical emergencies and not opportunities to pinch the fuel budget.
  8. If you don't want to pay for the service being provided onboard, don't go see them. Of course, there may be some complications.
  9. Expensive. Seems to me you confused seeking diagnosis and treatment at a medical facility staffed by professionals with a shopping trip to the drug store armed with your own treatment plan.
  10. Not that I have any idea what Tranq B meant, but they could save fuel by not actually making their way to the missed port(s); rather than steaming a few hundred miles over a couple of days, just putter around at sea doing eight knots to nowhere and chalk up some fuel consumption savings. Kind of a ridiculous suggestion but I've seen worse on the boards!
  11. A little tongue-in-cheekish but I am interested in knowing which website(s) you think may not be entirely reliable and why.
  12. Indeed: metro from Ottaviano station (A line) to Termini, change to B line and get off at Colosseo. Easy and quick.
  13. We were in London for a weekmin August. It was common for sit-down restaurants to add 12.5% to the bill and it was clearly marked gratuity; VAT never came up. After London, we were in Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh and did not receive restaurant bills with gratuities added for our convenience.
  14. I don't believe London reflects common practice throughout the UK.
  15. Hmmm... Who you gonna trust on this one? US State Department or Government of Chile? BTW, the UK Government agrees with the Chilean Government... https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/chile/entry-requirements
  16. You sure about those Chile requirements? https://www.gob.cl/en/news/end-covid-19-protected-borders-plan-health-ministry-ends-health-requirements-enter-chile/
  17. Do you follow-up on the information you've gleaned through your questioning or do you take it on face value if the stories remain consistent?
  18. You can purchase lounge access a number of ways, which I won't list as they're too numerous but here is a starter resource. Most stays are limited to three hours. https://www.way.com/blog/lax-airport-lounges-all-you-need-to-know/#:~:text=Yes%2C you can pay to,the LAX Star Alliance Lounge.
  19. Yeah, I know. Take the starboard side to see things from an exterior cabin; me, I'd go on deck to do this but that wasn't an element of the OP's original question.
  20. Take the starboard side for best views of Valletta from your (exterior) cabin when entering port.
  21. If I were you, I'd do it now. I agree with advice in a recent Globe and Mail piece... https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/personal-finance/household-finances/article-travellers-the-best-time-to-book-flights-and-hotels-is-now-why-sales/
  22. Whew. At first I thought you wrote no togas in the MDR but I see I'm OK.
