    If I understand correctly, this B2B begins in Seattle and terminates in Los Angeles? That is not a permissible combination for cruisers under PVSA. Vancouver is a foreign port, it's just not a 'distant foreign port'.

    I agree with you and plan on getting tested prior to departing Rome with a couple of stops in Greece. Item 7 at this Greek govt website is kind of cryptic about the requirements so I'm just going to go with what the cruise line is telling me to do. https://travel.gov.gr/#/

    There is no Covid test requirement for your flight from SFO to YVR, just the ArriveCAN. If you take the PCR test in SFO more than three days before your cruise departs, that is too early. You need a Covid test for boarding the ship and, maybe, another ArriveCAN depending on the cruise itinerary.

    That's our strategy. Test morning of 14 September, fly to Rome that evening and board ship in Civi on 16 September. My hotel and a local pharmacist in Civi are perfectly willing to help me get a test on afternoon of the 15th but I chose to test before leaving Canada... JIC.

    Could happen depending on the motion of the ship. If you notice your weight moving around a bit while standing on the scale just estimate an average and you likely won't be too far off. From day-to-day if you notice a general trend upwards (most probable event) perhaps you should cut down on the desserts or work doubly hard in the gym!

    Just so you know, there is not a single train that goes between Vancouver and Halifax; you have to change in Toronto. In any event, that would be quite a trip. Maybe try to fit Ottawa and Montreal into your plans. See viarail.ca for all your planning purposes.

    Cruise ships are treated differently and the website steers you in that direction. Note that 'entry by water' is not the same as entry by cruise ship. Entry by water is meant for boats, ferries, canoes, surfboards, etc...

    I don't know about fraud but it does seem to be a return to the honour system regarding declarations of health prior to boarding. I guess passengers are just going to have to make their own decisions on how honest they want to be and to what extent they trust other passengers' honesty.

    Didn't know that. I'm one of the fortunate souls who hasn't had much opportunity to look into that. I wonder whether Canadian air carriers do it? Getting much of anything out of them for flight disruption, cancellation, delay etc.... can be a bit of a chore!
