  1. Find a Canadian onboard and ask them whether they'd trade some currency. Me, I'd take 85USD for 100CAD.
  2. Princess has a similar Document of Recovery with a time frame of three months (90 days). I'd say the 180 day thing in Royal Caribbean is a typo/error and shohld not be depended upon for planning purposes.
  3. Why bother washing and sanitizing your hands if you're wearing gloves?
  4. Not particularly complicated. Since you have no formal documentation that you tested positive for Covid it's pretty unlikely you'll ever get a Certificate of Recovery. So, you're only practical option is to wait and see if you will test negative near cruise time.
  5. I guess you've already booked your flights? If not, you may want to look at Westjet for the DTW to YVR trip; they work with Delta and the connection through Toronto is pretty seamless.
  6. Well, the 1,000 EUR is to pay off the carabinieri who will be guarding him while he carries out the foreign currency withdrawal.
  7. What do you think it would cost you to take the 1,000 EUR out of a bank machine in Rome?
  8. Well, I expect you probably will be but you may want to save yourself the anxiety and follow the instruction from the Arrive CAN website: If your travel details change before you enter Canada If you need to edit your information and have an ArriveCAN receipt, you need to start over and create a new submission. ArriveCAN will clear your previous information.
  9. Sure, but it may be marginal. I have a chequing account with Tangerine and they charge 2.5% on top of the current exchange rate. Right now it would cost me 400 CAD to purchase 300 EUR at a bank in Italy and maybe 3 CAD as a service fee. I can purchase the same 300 EUR at the Ultimate Currency Exchange at the Gloucester Centre for 404 CAD. I guess it's more an issue of convenience.
  10. I'd say leave things with Celebrity as they are.
  11. I'm sure you're aware that there is a difference between three days and 72 hours for the testing and it depends on where your departure is from.
  12. Sure, I can confirm that it's fine. Kinda useless though, isn't it? Best to get a confirmation from Princess.
  13. Just mention it to your steward when you get onboard and he'll make sure it gets done the way you want.
  14. I see where you're coming from. Consider elderly women wearing bikinis a couple sizes too large for them.
  15. Oh yeah... I just got back from Europe and the AC flights through Toronto were fine and ArriveCAN was quick and easy to complete.
  16. I'm late to the party because I'm with Rogers and pay way too much for wireless, internet and TV and roaming and the system breaks down all the time!!
  17. I guess I'm helping you out on your 20K quest. Yes, I do believe inadvertently allowing a person access to your cabin is a problem. My initial suggestion to keep walking away would preclude that but, of course, it doesn't respond to your specific concern. I'll admit that I don't know the answer; probably best to solicit some experimental information from somebody currently using the Medallion onboard a Princess ship .
  18. Yes, I understand that and ought not have gone OT on you. I just figured you have nothing much better to do and you're just offering up a scenario to increase your post count.
  19. You should never retrace your steps. Look at this as an opportunity to more fully explore the ship and learn new routes to the buffet and bars. You should always have alternatives in mind in case your usual access route is blocked.
  20. As far as boarding the ship goes, none of this actually happened because it's undocumented. Seems to me you'll have to be formally tested according to cruise line protocols and go with that.
  21. I believe it will be Brooklyn.
