  1. Me too!!!! DH likes mayo. And no ketchup for my fries either.🙄
  2. This seems to be the mentality of many "ports" these days. Residents claim the town gets too crowded, that passengers don't spend money (in the right places?) etc, etc. Some of these towns are reacting to more ships but even then, it is a short season. Once we heard a guest railing on about Skagway and how crowded and it was and wasn't it awful, but to talk to the local shop owners, they were happy as their season is so very short - make hay while the sun shines attitude. We enjoyed Stavanger when we visited and it's too bad to be docked so far away as it is indeed a very walkable town.
  3. 1995! Acapulco to San Juan and we were hooked!
  4. Once, we stayed on 7 on Serenity. I am not an early morning person and I was disturbed by conversations on the promenade. Also we found it dark as there was the overhang plus we had to keep the curtains closed so people couldn't see in if there was a light on in the room.
  5. Funny the use of the term "cabin" by so many. "Cabin" makes me think of submarine or battleship Navy quarters. Showing my age, I guess. On cruise ships, most lines call them "Staterooms", a more appropriate term IMHO. 😉
  6. Well that's not so bad. It was a $250 minimum when we hosted a few years ago and given the state of inflation and new owners, I am pleased it isn't more! We usually do one each cruise.
  7. I think I remember gelato in Prego. They certainly used gelato in the affogato. How would you know the new owner isn't bringing on any gelato? Did I miss something in the PR releases?
  8. Maybe the casino space would be a comfy place to linger.....
  9. Looks like there are no more standard rooms on 8&9. All suites.
  10. Looks better than Symphony, more classic.
  11. Right you are. Guess they don't want anyone sitting there too long. And that wallpaper😱
  12. I think it's ghastly! Talk about glitz!
  13. Doesn't really matter to us. We aren't serious gamblers but it was a fun way to pass a little time on a rainy day or while waiting for a show. Taking out the casinos does leave a huge empty space though, I wonder how creative NC will be - all one big space or divide it up? TBD.
  14. There are still bathtubs in the classic Aquamarine suites.
  15. Many couples use just one email address and it's in one name and that could be the deceased. Sad but true, I've seen it on several occasions.
  16. They did have that, it was on a special menu.
  17. Yes it does, and very nicely too, lovely colors.
