  1. I’m gluten free but not coeliac and have always been well catered for including in the OVC. I’ve eaten in most of the specialty restaurants and Blu and Luminae. Everyone has always been great and often I preorder the night before. I’ve also had gluten free lobster Thermidor in Luminae which was a pre order.
  2. I love the smoked salmon platter - they bring me to gluten free bread instead of the bagels.
  3. I have stugeron (cinnarizine) that I get on prescription due to a balance condition. However if I forget to add to my prescription order and need it desperately I can but OTC, if you are in the U.K. most pharmacies have it including boots.
  4. I’m on Beyond next week and was on Apex last October. Wasn’t overly keen on Apex if I’m honest but not enough to stop me sailing on her next June :)) Loved the restaurants, but there weren’t enough bar variety imo as there is say on the S class. And that’s with us using the retreat lounge. But it was fine. Not great but fine.
  5. I’m not keen on the E class if I’m honest. Been on Apex once and going again in June and on Beyond in October. Dh loves the E class.
  6. We went on Disney several years ago. Then we moved to Celebrity which is good but not as good. Also the service and buffet on Disney is superb. Also the embarkation lunches- fabulous. The dine around restaurants taking your servers with you is inspired. When we have grandchildren we will be back!
  7. We loved Blu on Silhouette in June. Preferred it to Luminae on Apex in many ways. We are on Beyond in a suite in 2 weeks and no menus (I’m just hoping for lobster roll in Luminae). Apex next year in an SV so I’ll be interested to try the 4 different restaurants and already have some speciality dining booked to shake it up a bit.
  8. We’ve booked a guarantee and have a MC suite. I’m interested in trying it as it was such a good deal. If I don’t hate it I may book it again if I get a good deal. I wouldn’t pay full price for any SS at the moment as I don’t trust Celebrity to change the conditions!
  9. Glad it’s not just me that takes wipes with me! We have 3 weeks at a time share in the U.K., my kids and their friends, have grown up knowing that every handle, (including window) light switches, remote controls, are wiped down before anything is put away. They even know that the hairdryer provided is to be sanitised!
  10. Can you imagine the furore if Celebrity carried on with the original itinerary and something happened to any of the passengers? Celebrity have been absolutely correct to change the itinerary to keep everyone safe. It’s a risk you take when you book a cruise that it may not end being the ports you originally thought you were getting.
  11. Thank you that’s what I thought! Im wondering how it will all work though. If I use my U.K. passport for online check in? How will I show I don’t need ab Estia? All so confusing! :))
  12. It’s always a risk that ports will change. Many years ago on Disney (I think) a stop in Tunisia was changed to a terrorist attack. Safety is paramount.
  13. We haven’t done as many as some but Norway fjords to my breath away. Also sailing into Kotor, Malta and Venice - wow! Caribbean on Galaxy and Bahamas was nice but didn’t wow me though celebrity Galaxy was our first cruise and it got me hooked on cruising!
  14. I would have called housekeeping to address the shower drain. That should not have happened at all imo. I’d also be wanting the loo seat repaired or replaced pronto.
  15. I feel for the people so much. We were on Apex October last year for my bucket list to Israel and had a wonderful time. But it’s always a possibility that it may not happen. Im Cypriot so am sorry I didn’t see this earlier to recommend restaurants for dinner.
  16. I’ve just asked on another thread how it will work for dual nationals. I asked my TA. They didn’t know You can only provide one passport for online check in, so if I use my EU one will I need to show I don’t need visa to come to U.K.? if I use my British passport to check in I’ll have to show I have an ETIAS? All so confusing! They all said if I used my EU passport for online check in I couldn’t ask the British consulate for help if necessary. I can’t see how that is right? God for the days before Brexit, when it was easier and I’d no need of another passport!
  17. Yes it did. We applied for our EU passports as soon as the vote was decided; mainly so ours dcs could also have the EU passports, in case they ever wanted to work in Europe it would be easier for them. And I’ve of them did and worked in france for a while. Much easier for them than their friends who had to supply multiple documents!
  18. Oh I have lots of ideas in my head. QM to New York bit of a driving holiday Visit Boston maybe try and do a couple of cruises in the Americas region Panama South America Alaska Iguazzu (my favourite place on earth) Sail back on another ship possibly from Argentina/Brazil as I said all ideas in my head but how much in reality 🤣 I would need a good TA to help sort it and a hefty bank balance which currently I don’t have. But a dream is nice! One day maybe x
  19. Thank you that’s what I thought. we leave and enter the U.K. with our British passports but when we arrive or leave the EU we use our EU passports or ID. Especially since some countries are having separate lines for EU and Non EU with U.K. now sometimes in the Non EU line as it should be now we’ve left. That sounds garbled but hope you understand! We always travel with both passports.
  20. Anyone know what happens if the ETIAS (?) comes into force? We have EU passports and British passports. We’ve been told by our TA if we use our EU passports to check in we can’t get help from British embassy. If we don’t use our EU passports then we May have to Apple for ETIAS ? which we don’t technically need. Not sure if that’s corrrect wonder if anyone knows.
  21. Ahh brilliant thank you. It’s crazy I never thought of them! We are in Cyprus so often as we have a family house there.
  22. I don’t eat them at all! I love most food but cannot abide mashed potatoes. Except for my mum’s and then not often! Edit: we are in an SV in June so have made several speciality reservations just in case! Menus have disappeared from our upcoming Beyond cruise on the 20th this month. I’m hoping lobster roll is still available in Luminae 😍
