I can’t remember if it’s been mentioned but has anyone been on Cunard and if so how does it compare? I know about the dress code and tbh probably why it puts me off a little, but dh would loves the idea, and wants to cruise Cunard at some point. Also retreat to grills please thank you!

We will be in a magic carpet suite in October so I can report back then. I’m hopeful that any issues would have been sorted out by then.

Re formal nights - Can I ask please if cocktail dress is fine or is long preferable? I have both and we regularly attend black tie events. Looking ahead to 2025 and looking at alternatives to Celebrity which is our usual line. It’s my 60th so looking for something special. Thank you.

They can hopefully pass the messages up the food chain but I do feel very sorry for them having to deal with the brunt of complaints. Perhaps if there are enough complaints Celebrity will rethink. Personally I don’t think that will happen unless bookings go down for SS.

I had tier level both times also. I’ve emailed previously about vaping as well as the suite cutbacks but not the wider cutbacks. We occasionally sail in regular cabins so the wider cuts also affect us.

Also been asked to resubmit! Think I’ll resubmit also re cutbacks as I’m sure it’s not a real IT issue so they will see my query re vaping.

I don’t see it as complaining just stating things as people perceive them to be. I’d rather know what to expect before I board. I can then adjust my expectations accordingly and not be disappointed when I get on board. I can concentrate on finding the positives as i’ll already know the negatives and therefore won’t be upset or annoyed by them.

We’ve booked a couple on our upcoming cruise as we have a lot of OBC so will report back.

Well couldn’t switch as dates didn’t work. However have cancelled CS and moved to SV. A proper balcony. So I’m happy with money saved will do more speciality dining.

We have now cancelled our upcoming CS in Apex. Too much uncertainty & instead booked an SV. I’m happy even though I lost my deposit & OBC. We can have elite breakfast or OV. Almost managed to persuade dh to switch to Princess (better itinerary) but the dates were different and didn’t work. Next time possibly.

I knew there would be a thread here when I saw my email. My questions 1. vaping 2. Paying more for receiving less eg suites and butlers 3. The dreadful IV going forward on any new ships to have choice for customers. I think I’ll probably submit vaping as it’s a medical issue.

X are being very silly I think. Putting up prices ok, but don’t cut down on service as people will look around.

Oh my goodness thank you so much everyone. CC posters really do help. I agree about the butler, it can get intrusive at times. Well I’ve spoken to an agent, spoken to dh & he doesn’t want to change the cruise 😬. But I’m now armed with information I didn’t have before so I’ll definitely be more open to comparing and contrasting in the future!

Yes we have a Magic carpet suite booked for October but I booked a guarantee so I’m not that worried. Will definitely try to persuade him and you have helped me be armed thank you :))

Thank you. Would you say it’s almost as good a suite experience on Princess as celebrity? SV is a sunset veranda (regular cabin) on celebrity as I’ve mentioned changing over to dh but he’s reluctant. Mr creature of habit :)) CS is just so much money and things have changed from when we initially booked. The Princess cruise is a much more viable option Money wise. you have been very helpful. I feel we need to branch out but he’s a tad reluctant. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok so I’ve just checked. Our Beyond October cruise. No Luminae sea day lunches listed but they are on my Apex cruise in June 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are on Apex in a CS next June. Baltics. We will make elite+ if we do it. Sky Princess for a similar cruise is just over half the fare in a PH. Dh a creature of habit, won’t want to switch, but I’m tempted. He’s a big casino man, is smoking a big thing anyone know please? How will it compare? Looking at Oceania for 2025 special birthday. I keep saying 50 when it’s going to be 60 🤣 wishful thinking!
