  1. We are on Apex in a CS next June. Baltics. We will make elite+ if we do it. Sky Princess for a similar cruise is just over half the fare in a PH. Dh a creature of habit, won’t want to switch, but I’m tempted. He’s a big casino man, is smoking a big thing anyone know please? How will it compare? Looking at Oceania for 2025 special birthday. I keep saying 50 when it’s going to be 60 🤣 wishful thinking!
  2. He’s really good. I enjoy watching his videos.
  3. Been reading some of the other boards. Oceania, Princess all regulars talking about changes. I think changes are here to stay across the lines.
  4. I think that’s a good idea re Caribbean. We went to our house in Cyprus for NY once. It took 3 days of full heating for the house to warm up! The Mediterranean is cold over that time of year.
  5. Also in the evenings we usually have a cardigan or shawl to wear. Also first thing in morning on an excursion you will most likely need an extra layer. Doesn’t generally get warm till around 10.30/11. October and November are my favourite times to go to Cyprus as it’s far more pleasant weather wise.
  6. We’ve been assigned a MC suite on Beyond. Good price - yes I probably will regret it but at the price I paid I can’t really complain. We usually sail in upper suites or CS so a bit of a change. I’ve not bid on move up as I don’t want to end up with a worse location. I can only bid on Aqua suites or above. Not on SS.
  7. I’m gluten free but not coeliac. I was accommodated very well. I had the lobster for main & soufflé for dessert. Regret I can’t remember my starter.
  8. We were In Aqua on silhouette in June as suites were sold out. We way preferred Blu to Luminae. Tbh we’d have booked Aqua for our upcoming cruises if it wasn’t for the IVs & saved ourselves some £££.
  9. Murano without a shadow of doubt. We had lobster in June in murano. Another here who prefers Blu to Luminae.
  10. Also Sounion from Piraeus - Sounion is one of my favourite places. We went last year & used PK Travel.
  11. October and November are pleasant generally weather wise though obviously chances of rain. We have a house in Cyprus and often go in November. Often sunbathe in the morning, afternoon showers. Cooler in the evenings. If during the day warm enough to sit out for lunch though we generally eat indoors in the restaurants in the evenings.
  12. Thank you. Actually pressure point wrist bands are also a good idea.
  13. Possibly a U.K. thing but DH mentioned MIL diagnosis as that was ongoing. My dads was new & he simply didn’t think. It didn’t make difference in grand scheme of things as no way would we have gone. It’s just a nuisance we lost that money.
  14. I had my phone call last evening. I wasn’t on the phone long as have a bad cough. I discussed IV, said would be good to have a balcony and IV option if X is sold on IV. Butlers - ‘give us a chance’ was told it was to help spread the load. No other benefits being eliminated. Vaping no decisions been made yet.
  15. Ahh thank you. Dh covered my MIL pre existing (she’s still fine) but forgot to add my dad! Expensive (financially) mistake but being there meant more than money.
  16. Perhaps but Luminae is open for lunch. The queue for breakfast at 8.55am is so long. But I suppose if they extended breakfast hours then the people would just go later anyway!
  17. I don’t understand why Blu isn’t open for Aqua guests on sea days or embarkation. Would make for a more pleasant experience for the guests. Oh & yes why is Blu & Luminae not open till at least 10 on a sea day? Don’t get that. Thank goodness for Elite breakfast. EDIT: a pharmacy is a great idea.
  18. We have upcoming CS & MS guarantee booked. Agent told me they have no information that anything changing for CS. Im still waiting to have a reply from X re email I sent them regarding the changes & vaping. I’ll assume if don’t hear back by end of the week that maybe not interested in what a U.K. cruiser has to say. We are Elite, so not a new cruiser.
  19. Also look for a cruise that has an overnight. We’ve done overnights in Venice, Israel & Istanbul. Gives you more than a taste. We’ve stayed in hotels when we’ve had overnights so gives you more of a flavour.
  20. We booked a suite guarantee last week for Beyond & been assigned a MC/MS (?) on deck 12. I’m happy. Never had one before, usually CS or PS. I’ve also put in a small bid for Sunset suite. Don’t really mind what we end up with, though limited mobility so I may up cancelling my move up bid as think on some days maybe too much for me.
  21. I know it amazes me everyone goes on about GTI I’m sure they are very good but there are other tour guides.
  22. <hides> not sure! It’s near the palace. Walking distance.
  23. It’s stunning & in a great location.
  24. We used PK Travel last year. Just myself & husband. We went to Sounion. Excellent service. Think Demetris was our driver as we didn’t need a guide. His English was great but we are Greek speaking so used it as an opportunity to practice our language skills.
  25. We stayed Here when we went https://www.melia.com/en/hotels/spain/madrid/palacio-de-los-duques-gran-melia?utm_medium=organic&utm_source=directories&utm_campaign=google&utm_content=2810 just near the palace.
