  1. We are in a MC suite on our upcoming cruise. Which was your cabin out of interest? I’m hoping if an issue X will deal with it promptly.
  2. I don’t eat mash. So good for me as more excuse for dessert!
  3. Thank you for providing the list. I’m an old world wine person but don’t drink Pinot Grigio of old world wines. There are a few there that I could cope with so all good. Apart from from Prime 7, as all Californian, would I be able to ask for an alternative or is that not possible?
  4. Yes I know sometimes being organised can be a drawback! Goes back to my law years. Never ever be late when attending court! But you are right best laid plans can sometimes thrown in an adventure or two :))) And you so have to be organised with Disney! Thank you @kjbacon - it’s from when my friends and I used to ask if it was 5o clock (pm) yet as it was wine time:))
  5. I like to be organised. All my excursions diy or ships (if I have OBC) are booked as soon as possible to ensure I get the excursions I want. If we’ve already been somewhere then we will do an alternative to the main attractions.
  6. Looking to book Regent next year. If I’ve already paid for inclusive shore excursions (it’s in the fare) I would hope to get them so good to know about waitlists and turning up to the theatre however stressful that sounds!
  7. We are about to book on Regent Splendour for our cruise next October. It’s a 7 night to test the water so to speak. Also as it’s 7 nights I don’t think they will have a formal night.
  8. Thank you so much your posts have helped me to decide that Regent will definitely be our next cruise booking. Due to dates it will most likely be on The Splendour rather than Mariner but I’ve enjoyed the journey with you.
  9. We’ve switched our June cruise next year to an SV from a CS so I hope we get the loungers. But who knows with X. They say a weeks a long time in politics. That saying could easily be used for X currently.
  10. Congratulations on your retirement. Firstly I was on Silhouette in May. A Beautiful ship we were in Aqua. We stopped by the bars after excursions and on sea days a couple of times a day and got waters or whatever other drinks we wanted. It didn’t spoil our trip whatsoever. Please don’t worry and have a lovely cruise.
  11. We have downgraded our CS to an SV on Apex next year. The price difference was huge. On our Beyond sailing this year the difference between a suite guarantee and an SV (when AI factored in with OBC) wasn’t huge so I went for the guarantee. Then they cut the butler role 😬.
  12. Can I ask if there is an included wine list please that you would be able to post if not too difficult to do so. We did blind wine tasting last year, it confirmed what I suspected. I like old world wines not new.
  13. One of our favourite holidays was staying in a villa at Santo Maris in Oia (10 minute walk to Oia) for a special birthday. The hotel was fabulous and it was Complete bliss in Oia when all ships passengers had left for the day.
  14. I’ve just looked at my upcoming sailing on Beyond. SS are selling well, but there is a suite guarantee (which is what we have booked) so not sure if move up or actual sales. A few Aqua SS left. A lot of people don’t frequent these boards as pp said so will only find out about reduced butler service on board.
  15. These reports are fairly damming on the new retreat experience. I’m not blaming the staff but management. While bookings are currently doing well I’m not sure they really care tbh.
  16. Thank you. I will have a look. Had enquired for a good regent cruise offer but will take a gander now.
  17. @ladylemondrop I’ve never thought about Fred Olsen. What’s the age roughly of passengers please? And the entertainment? Our neighbours always used to sail with them so I should have done.
  18. Looking at Regent for next year October. Will check out Cunard as well. Already downgraded our June cruise from a CS to an SV. Shame as would have made E+ if kept CS! We are in MS this October on Beyond so I’ll report back as to changes.
  19. Horses for courses. I love the Savoy and that type of hotel don’t find them pretentious. I’ve never stayed in a premier inn but have done a fair few travel lodges in my time. Probably why Id rather the Savoy :))
  20. Thank you for this. Looking at cruising the Mariner in entry level next year. Love your humour. I’ll remember to pack my tote bag 😁
  21. Thank you for this thread. We are looking at a Regent cruise on Mariner for October 2024 for a week but not impressed by the pizza. We usually sail Celebrity but all their cuts have me looking elsewhere. We were in celebrity suite on Apex last year and the bin hadn’t been emptied and there were still toiletries in a carrier bag in a drawer. I asked HK to come and collect. They cleaned again (unasked) and I got a bouquet of flowers. But it did give me pause I have to say. Im glad you are enjoying your cruise.
  22. Yes I worry about trying Regent as to whether it will be too small for me, but more from a motion sickness perspective. The only way for me to find out is to try it. But also I remember being on Constellation and I didn’t love it as felt too small, though I loved the PS balcony. Way out of price range now unless for a very special occasion.
