Congratulations on your retirement. Firstly I was on Silhouette in May. A Beautiful ship we were in Aqua. We stopped by the bars after excursions and on sea days a couple of times a day and got waters or whatever other drinks we wanted. It didn’t spoil our trip whatsoever. Please don’t worry and have a lovely cruise.

First Time Cruiser on Regent!

Also looking for a new home so following here. -
We have downgraded our CS to an SV on Apex next year. The price difference was huge. On our Beyond sailing this year the difference between a suite guarantee and an SV (when AI factored in with OBC) wasn’t huge so I went for the guarantee. Then they cut the butler role 😬.

A Quintessential Crossing on the Mariner - Live!

Can I ask if there is an included wine list please that you would be able to post if not too difficult to do so. We did blind wine tasting last year, it confirmed what I suspected. I like old world wines not new. -
I’ve just looked at my upcoming sailing on Beyond. SS are selling well, but there is a suite guarantee (which is what we have booked) so not sure if move up or actual sales. A few Aqua SS left. A lot of people don’t frequent these boards as pp said so will only find out about reduced butler service on board.

Thank you for this. Looking at cruising the Mariner in entry level next year. Love your humour. I’ll remember to pack my tote bag 😁

A Quintessential Crossing on the Mariner - Live!

Thank you for this thread. We are looking at a Regent cruise on Mariner for October 2024 for a week but not impressed by the pizza. We usually sail Celebrity but all their cuts have me looking elsewhere. We were in celebrity suite on Apex last year and the bin hadn’t been emptied and there were still toiletries in a carrier bag in a drawer. I asked HK to come and collect. They cleaned again (unasked) and I got a bouquet of flowers. But it did give me pause I have to say. Im glad you are enjoying your cruise. -
Yes I worry about trying Regent as to whether it will be too small for me, but more from a motion sickness perspective. The only way for me to find out is to try it. But also I remember being on Constellation and I didn’t love it as felt too small, though I loved the PS balcony. Way out of price range now unless for a very special occasion.

Which Celebrity ships have been revolutionised?

Thank you that’s helpful in making my mind up. -
Which Celebrity ships have been revolutionised?

We were on Silhouette in May and tbh I preferred her to Apex. On Beyond in October so will compare. -
Thank you Dh Wouldn’t switch. But I’ve downgraded us to a sunset veranda as just couldn’t justify the price for a CS. Cold weather cruise so don’t need retreat sundeck. Im happy with switch. Looking at 7 night Regent cruise for next October as a small taster. Will see if can persuade DH :))

Bumping this. Is there a way to find out which cabins have been updated on Equinox please? Last time on Equinox was in PS for dh big birthday. Now he’s retired so will be at most Aqua or SS if the deal is good. Also anyone know if sundeck is accessible as I’m limited mobility. Thank you. -
When to book excursions-cruise is over 1 year away.

Great advice from @Hlitner In Limassol we have used Spanos Travel. About 16 I think to a group. In Athens we used PKTravel for a private tour to Sounion as we’ve been to Athens several times. In Israel we’ve used Moti Bar Tuv at Travel Israel for all 3 of our days on private excursions and was worth every penny. I agree with Kusadasi a guide is a must. Have a great cruise. -
Obviously I had too much 🍷🍷 as I’m still convinced it was a tray or I’m thinking long back!

My worry on the smaller ships is motion sickness. The smallest ship I’ve been on m, I think was Celebrity’s Galaxy, Disney’s wonder also. If I sailed eg SB or SS or Regent anyone know how sizes compare? I’m not keen on E class but have 2 upcoming cruises on E class booked. We are starting to look around at other lines but dh is at the moment reluctant to change. But 2025 (if we do a cruise) is likely to be Princess for Panama and then Alaska if timings can work.

We cruise suites or Aqua. Next year in an SV. Price, other holidays and itinerary, dictate not just retreat or non retreat.
