We will be going to Alaska on the Grand in June. We see two excursions in Juneau. The first is supposed to end 15 minutes before the second one begins. Based on those who know about Alaskan excursions is that too close?

In the FAQ's under Shore Excursions Princess states:

Multiple Excursions in One Port

Allow at least 60 minutes between each excursion. All excursions depart from, and return to, the cruise ship pier. By scheduling in this manner, you will have sufficient time to take multiple excursions.

But in my Cruise Personalizer under Shore Excursions for each Alaska port it states:

As a general guideline, we recommend that you allow 30 minutes between tours. Tours will not wait for late arriving guests.

So perhaps reality is somewhere in between.

But have you tried adding both excursions you are interested in into your Cart to see if the Cruise Personalizer would allow such a booking? That may or may not answer the question.

which 2 excursions- can you possibly do one on your own or with a different tour co other than princess?

as others have stated too close doing ship excursions

renting a car in Juneau is easy if its something you are interested in considering depending on what excursions have peaked your interest

Your second excursion will be scheduled to meet (on ship or on shore) about 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the tour. Even if returning to the ship from the first tour on time, it will be after the second tour is supposed to meet (but not actually start).

And there is no guarantee that the first tour will return on time.
