$729 for us. Is yours a casino rate?

I have heard about the casino rates. Can you share any information about them? I have heard about the casino rates. Can you share any information about them? What is the process?

After reading this thread, I checked the Princess site.

A balcony cabin,forward,garantee was listed at $749.

Not the great rate reported by the OP,but still reasonable (I think ) for a balcony on the Regal for the 7 day cruise leaving Feb. 18.

Before discussing the possibility of booking this cruise with DH, I checked air fare from Long Island ,NY to FLL. The ticket price of $529 per person prevented me from going any further.

This cruise would have fit in with our plans to spend time in FL from the end of Feb. until a few days after Easter in early April. But, since a good part of our yearly travel budget is going to the long vacation in FL, a cruise will have to be considered for another time.

Posting casino rates doesn’t help the majority of passengers who do not gamble enough to receive them & only makes us jealous. ;)

FYI: You don't have to gamble "enough", you just have to gamble "some". We got the casino rate a couple of years ago. We'd gone to the casino on our previous cruise and used our nonrefundable OBC in a slot machine. We played for 10-15 minutes, were up about $8 and cashed out. Next time I went online to book a cruise, found out we had the casino rates. So, of course, I booked 5 cruises at amazing prices.:D

Well we just took our first cruise with Princess on the Regal Dec.7th of this month, but we did gamble some in the casino so perhaps it is the casino rate. However we didn't spend that much money so it maybe worthwhile to put $40 or $50 in the slots in order to get these good rates. IDK I'm new at this, haven't been on a cruise since Carnival in 2003 so I'm thrilled to get these offers and hope they keep 'em coming. [emoji1]

Good idea! We were on a Regal B2B beginning Thanksgiving and received (for the first time) the casino rate offer via e-mail a few weeks later...booked the GTY balcony for 299 on the 2/18 cruise, got our cabin today on mid forward Riviera deck. We play craps and blackjack, but don't spend much more than that (did give them our cards when asked this last time). Looks like we will be meeting quite a few "gamblers" on the cruise next month.

Did you check the Princess EZ air quote? I got a $276 r/t rate versus $657 booking myself for a New Years cruise on the Royal booked about 4 weeks in advance.

So I reserved a balcony on deck 16 yesterday for 1700. Got a phone call from Princess today to finalize the reservation and ended up with a delux on Marina deck for 1300. Same room yesterday was 2200.

Thank you for that idea.

I think we will have to stay with our original plan of the long vacation in FL.without a cruise this year.

Interesting though, that the cruise prices seem to be fluctuating for the Caribbean cruises.

Perhaps the hurricanes caused people to make other travel plans for this winter, leaving ships not fully booked.

It is spmething to consider for next-year’s winter plans. Maybe waiting for last minute deals and using EZAir is a way to book a budget friendly vacation.

I am also interested in the casino rate.

I play some roulette on cruises and I will look into how to use this for a possible casino rate.

Think yourself lucky you're not in the UK 😁 My 'special offer' rate for this cruise is £724 for a Balcony (approx $963 !!) I think I'll pass...............

Don`t be put out, that rate is only available to a select audience. We can`t get it either & we have been on 37 Princess cruises so far, our 38th is this coming Sunday.

I keep checking my account hoping something will pop up, lol, but, nothing yet. Our 35th anniversary is Feb. 18 and it would be so perfect! We disembarked the Crown on Friday and we had a wonderful cruise. Princess has moved to #1 for us, Celebrity #2. This was our fifth Princess cruise. We are Elite on Celebrity.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was onboard the Regal last week and I had the offer listed when I signed in..it was for the Regal with several dates . When I got home the offer was gone, but appeared again last night. The rate is $99 for inside and $159 for obstructed balcony. So my point for the post being that it seems these rates come and go so keep checking...

What were the dates for the cruise? Just checking if it is still the Feb 18th date offered. Thanks

It now shows as "sold out."

Just to clarify, the Feb ones look to be sold out. However, the ones I listed in

March and April are still available. In fact, I called back this morning and upgraded from the $99 inside to an obstructed balcony for $159...total!

And you have to log in to account to even see if you are getting these?

I am sailing Regal on Sunday, but always fill in info and print pass and baggage tags as a guest since I do not actually remember log on info for Personalizer.

So perhaps I am missing out?

and just to clarify more, these 'deals' are only available to the people who actually receive the emails, correct??

I was told last week by the future Cruise employee, while I was onboard, that these were Casino rates.. I posted a question about that today since I don't really go to the casino that often and inly spend at mist $20. You do have to login...my husband has the offer as well but not my two friends who are platinum..so they could not take advantage of this offer unless they shared a room with me

If you are sailing Sunday you will not miss out...it is a beautiful ship and I expect you will have a blast. Don't forget to throw 20 bucks in the slots for future offers.

We booked a deluxe balcony obstructed guaranteed for $320 a piece and just got upgraded to a regular deluxe balcony on dolphin. What a freaking deal! Plus room credits!
