Never done a B2B, but I've read that you do have to exit the ship for Customs, and you (and anyone else doing a B2B) are escorted back onto the ship ahead of just about everyone else. You will not have to completely vacate your room.

Yes, on the last day of your first cruise you'll meet with someone from guest services. Once all guest have left the ship, you will be taken off the ship, go through customs, receive your new Sail and Sign cards, and then board the ship.

Since you're staying in the same cabin, you don't need to pack and everything that's in your cabin will remain there, including any bottles of liquor.

Yes - you will get off the ship and then get back on - you will be officially "in-transit". They need to have you off the ship because they cannot board anyone until 100% of guests are off. You can usually get right back on or spend a day in port for "supplies"

How does the process work after the first cruise? Do we have to leave the ship since we have the same cabin? Can we keep our room service liquor from the first cruise if we don't drink it all?

We've done many B2B and stayed in same cabin. Yes, you can keep your booze if you don't finish it the first week. When you reboard after getting off ship and going through customs, they've usually had mimosas, champagne, or OJ waiting for you. They also take a group photo which you'll receive free later in the week. We've also received a fruit basket & bottle of champagne from the hotel director.

We did a B2B on the Conquest and the whole process was extremely disorganized. And we were definitely not the first ones onboard. They had already started boarding passengers by the time we got onboard.

Anyway, we have another B2B scheduled on the Conquest next year for our 10th anniversary. What sailings are you doing? We are on the 2/24 and 3/2 sailings.

this is not true at all. On the Dream we did customs in the showroom, never left the ship. On the Magic, we (B2B guests) met in the MDR at 10, drank our champagne, all walked to the baggage area, a customs agent was there just for us, cursory check and back on board. Hundreds of guests were still exiting the ship. We were back on board at 10:20 and guests did not start boarding until after 11. All the bars and food service are closed from 10 - 11.

Yeah, I think it varies, depending on what customs wants. I've done two B2Bs. Same as with you, it was different each cruise. One we left the ship and the other we stayed on. Luck of the draw, I guess... no way to know ahead of time.

Just curious, if you buy liquor in the shop on the first leg (they will keep it) will they deliver it to you at the end like normal or wait until the second leg to deliver it. Hope this makes sense.

I am thinking if they deliver it after the first leg, then you have it to drink on the second leg.
