Recommended Posts

We're sailing tomorrow out of NY and Boarding 11:30 (Suite)... does anybody know what time they usually make the rooms available?

Are most of the lunch spots open when we first Board... like :

GUY’S PIG & ANCHOR SMOKEHOUSE (Deck 5 – mid)

GUY'S BURGER JOINT (Deck 10, mid)

JIJI ASIAN KITCHEN (Deck 11, aft)

Ocean Plaza Buffet (Deck 5, mid)

BLUEIGUANA CANTINA (Deck 10, mid)

LIDO BUFFET (Deck 10, mid)

FRESH CREATIONS (Salads) (Deck 15, forward)

New to Carnival so want to be prepared where to go to when we board!

I'm not sure how you know what time you'll be boarding... do you mean check-in time? If so I don't think that applies to you in a suite, you can check in as soon as you arrive at the port. As for when you board, that depends on the time they start the boarding process, usually around 11-11:30. Check-in time is usually an hour earlier for those who are not VIP, suite or FTTF.

I have a 12pm boarding time, how much earlier should I get there? And how accurate is boarding time?

That's a 12 check in time. You should get there pretty close to 12pm (like 15-30mim prior at the earliest). You will most likely not be let into the terminal much before 12pm.

In the future, it is best to ask your own question in a new thread, this keeping OP's question on topic.

Check in time is the time you choose to check in. VIP, suite or FTTF has nothing to do with it. However, if you do fall into one of those categories, you can check in no matter what time you choose. I'm guessing you meant an hour later than those that aren't VIP, suite or FTTF for boarding.

I think that is your "check in" time, boarding will commence around 11:30 by zones starting with weddings, diamonds and Plats then zone 1 etc.
