scubagirrl Posted January 29, 2013 #201 Share Posted January 29, 2013 We were a few years ago, when you buy food at Atlantis it is credit card only. I don't know if it is still like that, just so you are prepared. yes, you'll need a credit card for food and lockers. The grounds are cashless durng the day. The DIGS pass is $40pp. It included only the aquarium and predators lagoon. It does not give you access to the grounds, pools, beaches or slides. Don't know what you mean by Other stuff. Animal programs are listed on the website, but probably won't fit in your tight schdedule.

scubagirrl Posted February 2, 2013 #206 Share Posted February 2, 2013 What do you mean by grounds? Sorry stuff as in other places (Casino and such to check around) "Grounds" is the outside of the property, pools, slides, beaches, gardens and exhibits. THe DIGS pass allows only access to the indoor aquariums and predator lagoon (which is the shark Tubes). With the DIGS pass, you can check out the casino and shoppes in the lobby but you can't exit to the property.
DartThrowTrader Posted February 7, 2013 #207 Share Posted February 7, 2013 Hey everybody... This thread has been highly informative, so thank you to all who have posted. I would like to get some feedback on the following if anyone would care to share some insights. We will be arriving (disney cruise) on April 14, 2013. From what I can tell we can book a room at comfort suites for 4 people for about $250 (sweet) Here is my question(s). 1. There will be five of us total 2 adults, 3 children (16,13,6) Comfort suites will only allow 4 to a room, how can we get an arm band for the 3rd child or is she even too young (age 6) to need one? 2. How crowded do you think the waterpark will be on this day (Friday, April 12, 2013)? 3. Anything else you think I should know to get maximum experience? Thanks in advance for all your help. bwg03 Posted February 7, 2013 #208 Share Posted February 7, 2013 What is the reccomendation for comfort suites vs the Ship excursion? Any thoughts of one over the other?
mjkacmom Posted February 8, 2013 #209 Share Posted February 8, 2013 What is the reccomendation for comfort suites vs the Ship excursion? Any thoughts of one over the other? Comfort Suites can save money, provided you book well in advance, over a non-peak time, and have 4 people in the room. However, it looks like you are going over a holiday week. CS will probably be very expensive (or sold out), and I would assume Atlantis will not sell day passes. I think your best bet is the ship's excursion. As for a PP, yes, a 6 year old will need a wristband. Therefore, someone in your party would need to book the excursion, hope they're selling day passes at Atlantis, or book through Majestic Tours. bwg03 Posted February 9, 2013 #210 Share Posted February 9, 2013 I have a question on the ncl excursions. The ncl sky docks at 8. Doesn't meet till 930. Is there anyway to get your wristband beforehand and grab a taxi to the waterpark?
diviney87 Posted February 19, 2013 #211 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Is there anything at Atlantis you can tour for free without buying passes at all???? Thanks!
scubagirrl Posted February 19, 2013 #212 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Is there anything at Atlantis you can tour for free without buying passes at all???? Thanks! Not really. The only thing open to the public is the Casino and marina village (which is adjacent to the hotel, not a part of the property). Security will greet you at the door and escort you to the casino.. or turn you away.
Nudetypist Posted February 20, 2013 #213 Share Posted February 20, 2013 I just booked the Atlantis Aquaventure all access may madness pass for $87 a person. Not a bad deal for all access. This is for the Norwegian Gem in May in case anyone's wondering. Deal straight from Norwegian too.

We did atlantis with only 3 of our kids the last time through comfort suites, but I think this is actually cheaper. Decisions, decisions.... firsttimewy Posted February 20, 2013 #217 Share Posted February 20, 2013 I also think this post have been very informative. I'm so on the line of deciding whether to do atlantis. I REALLY want to do the waterpark, but I am afraid of lines. We are on the Victory and will be there from 8am-5pm on Tuesday, April 30th. There will also be FIVE other ships in port with us. Do you think it will be busy? On Carnival, the excursion for aquaventure with lunch has gone down to $149/person (was $174 2 weeks ago). Though, CS has government rate, with fees is about the same rate. Would you go? do you think it will be busy with that many people there? From the other posts, I understand the time crunch and getting back to the ship on time, but what is your opinion on crowds for that Tuesday? Thanks for all your help! I think the air temperatures should be in the 80's so as long as the water isn't freezing, it should be fun. We will have a total of 5 ships in port with 12,455 people. I'd love to do the AquaAdventure but just don't want to spend the entire day waiting in lines. Would you take advantage of the $87 rate in May? KansasScrapper Posted February 25, 2013 #224 Share Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Here is what we did... We have done it 3 different ways. 1) We went on our own, 2) rented a room and 3) thru the ship. So now we are doing it thru the ship. It is so much easier. The place is HUGE. However, I would LOVE to go there for a vacation!!! 1) Going on your own you have to remember and WATCH your time. 2) renting the room has its ups and downs and 3) was just so much easier!!!
