Cat4158 Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Hi We are a party of 13 sailing on Rhapsody of the Seas in Europe. Does anyone know what the max table size is? Thanks in anticipation.
Clarea Posted February 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Usually the max is 12, but they can probably squeeze 13 if they need to.
Cat4158 Posted February 14, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Thanks. Do you think we need to make a special request or will linked bookings be sufficient?
Clarea Posted February 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Thanks. Do you think we need to make a special request or will linked bookings be sufficient? If you are all linked and assigned to the same traditional (fixed) dining time, then I'd send an email to rcldining@rccl.com about 3 weeks before your cruise, requesting that you all sit a the same table and telling them you are fine with squeezing 13 at a table for 12. Florida_cruisers Posted February 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2018 How do they accommodate a group of 21 people?
ProvoAggie Posted February 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2018 How do they accommodate a group of 21 people? They'll put you at multiple tables in the same area.
Clarea Posted February 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2018 How do they accommodate a group of 21 people? That would have to be multiple tables in the same area.
njkruzer Posted February 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2018 2 tables. For our group of 36 we had many tables and drove our waiters crazy as every night we switched so we each could sit with the aunt and uncle who we were honoring on that cruise. Rcl arranged it and we had a section of the mdr on the Indy.
cb at sea Posted February 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2018 The bigger the table, the less you can converse. You will want 2 tables with anything over 12 or so...yeah, they can "fit" 13 at one table, but it's a HUGE round table...you can't yell across. (Well, you can, but it's rude!) Or a long one as I've seen used for 12.
green2sail Posted February 15, 2018 #13 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Last year on anthem we were seated at a big round table of 13. Just changed seats around on different nights and it worked out great. Arrived as strangers and were all friends at the end of the 12 nights. jamesr3939 Posted February 15, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Oasis with 14 they got us all at one long table the first night. It sucked, so the next night we had them put us at two round tables next to each other. The caveat is we had "older" folks and "younger" folks. So the split was pretty much even and it worked perfect.
Rala Posted February 15, 2018 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2018 We had 11 at a round table a few years ago on a family cruise. It worked out perfectly. You could talk with everyone at the table (no yelling required) and we also switched up seats. The talking factor would probably be more limited at a long table. :)
PhoenixCruiser Posted February 15, 2018 #16 Share Posted February 15, 2018 We had a group of 20 on the Liberty and they put 14 in one large oval table and 6 in a round.
