Traveling on equinox in January for my birthday which is a sea day. Will be with husband and also some friends (a couple).

How would you spend your birthday on equinox? We are in aqua class if it matters. We do drink, we don't gamble, and I just can't pay 3-4x our local going rate for a massage. Other than that I'm pretty open minded.

A morning run and swim, breakfast in MDR, Lido deck and a cold beer in the afternoon, cocktails and dinner in the MDR. Listen to music in the evening and finish up the night with a nice walk. Repeat the next day.

My wife and I have both spent birthdays on the Equinox. Both times were great!

I had bottles of wine sent to my room by the Captains Club concierge, the captain, and my steward. They also sent along a birthday cake, chocolate covered strawberries, and cards signed with good wishes from each.

My wife had a birthday dinner for two at Tuscan Grill with compliments of the concierge as well as another dinner for two at Murano with the compliments of the captain.

Solarium Day...hot tub, Persian Garden....but I would add a spa service...on a port day at the discounted port rate.. or see what the salon offers..mani pedi, special hair treatment...

Congratulations! Twice! On a cruise and on your birthday! It doesn't get any better :)

I had my 39th on the Infinity in Alaska on a sea day. We slept in, enjoyed a slow breakfast, a walk on deck watching a great show by local whales. Then a leisurely lunch and a nap... the a predinner martini and dinner in Murano with tableside prepared treats :D And then a show.

The next year I had my 40th onboard the Solstice in the Med. We enjoyed a relaxed full-service breakfast in the MDR. Then spent some lawn enjoying the hot glass show and a dip in the pool. Then a rerun groin the previous year with a predinner martini and dinner in Murano with the same tableside prepared dishes prepared by the same waiter (sorry, I'm getting old and forgot her name ). After dinner we enjoyed another show :)

Happy birthday and happy cruising!

Well since you took booze the casino and the spa off the table I don’t have much to offer. I’d plan an nice lunch and dinner at specialty restaurants. Dittos to the suggestion of Murano or Tuscan Grille for dinner.

Oh no the booze is still on the table, just not casino

Sounds excellent! I took some time off when I was having babies but now I am back to going someplace warm every year for my birthday like I did for many years in the past, usually cruises.

Happy birthday and happy cruising!

Oh, and I forgot the most important part... the waiters in Murano were not allowed to sing me a birthday song, but did provide a birthday cake after a full dinner and dessert. We had the cake delivered to our room, but had little room in our full stomachs...

Then the next evening, on both cruises, we were back in the MDR and after dinner and dessert the wait staff would convene by out table and sing and make fireworks whistles and presenting yet another chocolate birthday cake! Wow! We had it delivered to our room... to be stacked on top of the one from the previous night :D

Just make sure your TA or X had your birthday down on your booking... and double check with the onboard concierge - the staff love to celebrate you!

We have over recent years planned to celebrate special occasions including birthdays, anniversaries and reunions with friends on board Celebrity. Our first focus is that the whole cruise is special, not just the day...and then we focus on the best all round 'fit'

We will try to incorporate the following....

An on shore special experience at some point in the trip. It doesn't need to be the actual 'birthday' (Meal in a local speciality restaurant, helicopter trip, boat trip...) often a bit of a secret from one of us to the other (make sure your better half reads this)!

A pre or post cruise 2/3 day holiday extension (self explanatory). I know with work commitments this can be hard but to board a ship already relaxed from a few days of R&R is a great birthday present!

Booking the nicest room we can afford and adding little extras (bar set up?, speciality dining package?) things we know will make our cruise even more special.

On the actual day, you can't go far wrong with breakfast on the balcony and Murano's in the evening. Being a sea day and the Oceanview being busy I might go for lunch from room service (they have great fries)....The fact it is a sea day I honestly would not focus on enjoying a pool day...Maybe get your room attendant to bring ice for you to chill your champagne (remember you can bring two bottles on board) and sit on the balcony and enjoy with that book you have been meaning to read for ages....

Sincere best wishes for a wonderful birthday cruise!

Business as usual. Every day is special and I enjoy each one as much as possible.

I spend it on what counts in life.

Happy cruising 🌊🛳🇺🇸🌅

I *have* spent my birthday on a cruise and will again this coming March.

I do nothing special. The cruise itself is special. Well we might have dinner in Murano that night or do one of the fabulous chef's dinner pairings with wine if it's that night. Last birthday cruise we snorkeled in Bonaire. So fun.

I've had 63 trips around the sun. On a cruise it's all good, I need nothing more really to make it special.

Definitely make reservations for Murano! Some family favorites there are the scallops Wellington, Roquefort pear, wild mushroom cappuccino, goat cheese soufflé: these are all appetizers!

Entrees known to excite are: Lobster Murano, Dover Sole, Muscovy Duck, and Chateubriand for Two to name a few!

Dessert: Crepes Ballon Rouge: vanilla ice cream, wrapped in a crepe, covered with strawberries in a sweet port wine reduction sauce; to die for! Other desserts include a white chocolate and dark chocolate soufflé, creme brûlée maybe, and one that has multiple shot glasses filled with sweet and sinful delights, desserts though, not alcohol!

All in all a wonderful experience not to be missed! Several of the aforementioned dishes are prepared tableside, so definitely a great time for phone pics or videos! Guaranteed to impress! Love this place!

Relax and enjoy. We cruise often. Sometimes as a couple. Often travel with friends and family. We love celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. We have been on cruises many times when we have celebrated a birthday or anniversary. This year, we will be sailing with friends when some of will be celebrating birthdays. My birthday will be on a seaday. I have no plans and no expectations. Hope that we have calm seas and sunshine. I would be happy just sitting on deck with a nice drink.
