NatalieWood Posted February 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2017 We are heading on the Conquest with a stop at HMC. This will be our first tender without FTTF or an excursion. Any tips for avoiding a long wait or any craziness? I am not even sure of the process... can we pick up a ticket and then eat breakfast while we wait? We are sharing a villa with friends so we'll want to get over fairly early... Thanks! :) Sent from my iPad using Forums
Nic6318 Posted February 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Hi Natalie When you pick up the ticket you need to be ready to leave. As long as you aren't trying to be on the first tender, there are no real waits. The beach isn't going anywhere. Wait half an hour and you probably won't even need a ticket to get on the tender. Once the initial rush has passed, there no waits except waiting for the tender to fill. So the key to not having to wait, is patience. Sleep in a bit, have a leisurely breakfast and when you are ready, head to the tender with no waiting. hope this helps

coevan Posted February 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2017 We chill, have a Bloody Mary, breakfast, and get off the ship after 10, no lines
erb4230 Posted February 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2017 don't rush seems to be the best policy, you arrive more relaxed on port and ready to enjoy instead of being all flustered cause you stood in line for e45 mins just to gain an extra 10 mins on land. After all you go on a cruise for the ship as much as the destination.
tandemcruzr Posted February 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Does villa/cabana rental qualify for expedited tendering?
BallFour4 Posted February 3, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Does villa/cabana rental qualify for expedited tendering? It does. Do this too; get aboard the ship as soon as you can and then select a cabana above number 6. You select a cabana once you board the ship. . Gamecock_Cruiser Posted February 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 3, 2017 We went to HMC last September. I think we arrived at 9 or 10. We waited about 30 minutes after to get off teh ship. We walked straight down and right on the tender.
cruise pup Posted February 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2017 I thought "Tender tips" was a reference to a beef dish. Already had my mouth watering.

NatalieWood Posted February 3, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted February 3, 2017 The villa is in my friend's name. We are traveling separately but sharing the villa if that makes sense. To get priority tender, do we just follow her and say we are part of her party? Or maybe when we pick the villa we can put our name on it too? TheSuperintendent Posted February 3, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 3, 2017 I have to ask, is your user name (Natalie Wood) a somewhat morbid cruising joke, or merely a coincidence? (I love morbidly funny jokes)
NatalieWood Posted February 4, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted February 4, 2017 Ha, no! Coincidence I guess....It's actually my cat's name! Sent from my iPad using Forums
