ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Yes, with a $15 corkage fee for each bottle...unlimited bottles and you can drink wherever on the ship. Our last cruise in 2016, we didn't have the UBP perk, so we brought 8 bottles with us. There is a table off to the side once you go through the security and the person there will put a sticker with your cabin number on each bottle and charge the cost to your account. Rare BirdTravels Posted January 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Yes. Bring as much as you can hand carry onboard. At security, you will pay a $15 per bottle corkage fee to bring the bottle on board (regardless on where it will be consumed).

casofilia Posted January 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2018 You can take on as much wine as you like at a corkage of $15 a 750mm bottle and $30 a 1.5L bottle. Once paid the bottles are 'marked' and you can drink anywhere. There is no "Free" allowance for drinking only in your cabin.

Hypaiceangel Posted January 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2018 How much do they enforce the $15 fee? Any chance they are more lax for Suite guests and/or at certain ports? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare KeithJenner Posted January 18, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2018 How much do they enforce the $15 fee? Any chance they are more lax for Suite guests and/or at certain ports? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Historically it has been quite random. I’ve taken wine onboard a few times and only been charged about half the time. However, I haven’t taken any for a few years, and I suspect that they are stricter now due to the ban on taking other drinks onboard. Recently they have looked to be consistent regarding water, so I suspect they are much more likely to also spot wine. I’ve never heard anything to suggest that suite guests get any special treatment, but there have certainly been some ports in the past which seemed to be less strict (Barcelona springs to mind). I don’t know whether that is still the case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jdvmd Posted January 19, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 19, 2018 NCL is the only line that has "gotten me" every time for the wine I have brought onboard, whether at embarkation or at a port stop.

aeroo777 Posted January 21, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 21, 2018 Can anyone tell me where at Port of Miami I pay the corkage fee? After the initial security scan or during boarding. Sailing the Escape, Thanks
