ONECRUISER Posted August 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2018 I cruise Royal almost every Thanksgiving. Christmas Tree's and decoration's go up after you go to bed on Thanksgiving. Will wake on Black Friday to the sound of Holiday Music all over the ship...
shippmates Posted August 26, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 26, 2018 The ships will be decorated the day after Thanksgiving. They just look beautiful and it is fun to watch the progress. I still remember the first time we got off the ship in San Juan and the trees in the park were all decorated, the Christmas music was playing and it was 90 degrees. Enjoy your cruise. The sea calls my name Posted August 26, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 26, 2018 hi.please don't flame me. what day and date is thanksgiving ? IAN It is always the 4th Thursday in November, so the date changes each year, the day is constant. I'm sure many other of your countrymen had the same question and were fearful of the mobs to ask.:)

2chiefs Posted August 26, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 26, 2018 We cruise almost every year in early December. As far as progress toward decorating, it has varied as to how early they start and how long it takes to finish. Always very nice. During several B2B's we've seen them start by simply putting out all the pointsetias and progressing day by day to a full blown beautifal display. Watched several huge gingerbread houses be slowly built over a week's time. Some ships huge and some ships modest. I suppose it depends on the talent on board at the time.
