Port Canaveral (non Disney cruise) to a Disney hotel?

We will be 2 adults looking for the less expensive way to go to our Disney hotel

Shared shuttle from Port Canaveral to DW hotel. The other option is a rental car.

you can take a shared shuttle (like CORTRANS) to MCO then jump on DME to get to DW (assumes a hotel ON property) .. it will save a few $ but takes more time than a direct ride.

The CAPT is correct if your focus is saving money - but if you plug in the hotel address I suspect UberX will only be an extra $35+ total and will be a much nicer ride. Your call ;)

Just BEWARE - The Disney Magical Express lines at MCO can be very long at the wrong time of day - mornings! You have to go to Terminal B to check in.

I would skip this option and go straight to the hotel. Go early then leave your luggage at the bell station and go and enjoy a Park until your room is ready!

I thought of the Magical Express but like you said it will be much longer!

Just having done this a few months ago - I would do Uber. No need to wait on others if doing a shared ride. Plenty of Uber drivers available.

Rates will vary a bit depending upon which hotel you are going to, but according to www.uberestimate.com the fare for an UberX from PC to WDW should be about $95-100+

You can plug the port and your hotel into the Uber app (without booking the ride) to get a more accurate estimate.

It's says between 100-127$ with UberX and a private transport is 115$...

We're doing the same thing next Feb. and renting a car. That way we can do a grocery stop on the way to our Disney resort.

I would maybe do that but since it's only for 1 night it's not good for me!

I know I know Disney for 1 night is not enough but I will be going with a friend that has never gone to Disney! So that's why we are making this 1 day/1 night stop in Disney!

Even with hotel parking fees a one-way car rental for 2 days will be about the same as what you'll pay for Uber, and you can drop the car off at MCO when you fly home, saving you some transport costs/hassle on that end of the trip.

We took uber when we did the same thing and it was $95 I am thinking. Right when we got off the boat, there was a taxi stand, I can't remember what the guy told me, but a shared taxi with another group of two would have been a lot cheaper. I actually had a good conversation with the uber driver for the long ride though.

Price shop on http://www.limos.com We have used them several times going in both directions and never been disappointed. I think the cost for a town car was about $120 from Disney to the port. Maybe a little more from Universal to the port. Coming back we always went to MCO.

Just check 160$ is flat rate and if they wait for you at the terminal it's 84$/hour!!:o

With prices that high the car rental option may make more sense. ;)
