No -- Internet onboard is so very expensive and often so very slow. I wouldn't use it to IM with others. What we could use, however, is a way to list all the roll call members' screen names, along with their IRL first names and hometown, so we don't have to manually compile and repeatedly post this for each cruise.

If you have their cabin number you can speak or leave a message. Don't see why you would need to use wifi minutes.

All the roll calls I have been included on hardly anyone ever posts once the ship has sailed other than after we have all returned home to say a final goodbye.

If you meet up on the ship you can exchange cabin numbers if you want to keep in touch when onboard or meet up for drinks or meals with new friends. Think we all get so used to tapping the keyboard we forget that we can actually speak!

It really depends on types of questions or comments being posted for us to chose to respond.

We have met too many promoters trying to sell us something on our past cruises. We are there to relax, not fight off overly aggressive sales people.

Flying in from upstate New York to Tampa then to Fort Lauderdale, staying one night before going to the dock to the ship the next day . Am confined to a wheelchair so need to get accessible transport to the dock on the 16th to check in to the ship to our Lanaic cabin 3333. See all of you there then.
