You will attend only 1 muster drill. Only the muster drill for the first segment.

Baja deck is nice with no noise problems having cabin deck above and below.

You can also post on Princess Cruise Forum for response from those who have stayed in that cabin.

If it is a Back to Back (B2B) cruise you MUST attend BOTH muster drills. This is announced before the muster. If it is just a long cruise there is only one muster.

This is not true, in my experience. I have done several B2Bs and never been required to attend muster drill at the beginning of the 2nd leg.

There was one exception however, on a cruise circling South America that totaled over 30 days, when we were required to attend again BECAUSE we would be on the ship for more than 30 days. The cruise consisted of multiple legs but was booked as a single cruise. We were told that attending muster drill again was mandatory anytime one is onboard for more than 30 consecutive days.

In January (2017) we were on a B2B on Caribbean Princess.

Those of us on our roll call staying over for the 2nd leg had a "Muster Drill Party" at Outriggers while the muster drill for new arriving passengers was going on. :D

We were actually on a B2B2B (total 23 days) -- only had to attend muster drill for the 1st sailing. :)

The issue of muster drills is ultimately dependent on the ship's Captain. We have been on multiple legs (on various cruise lines) when we were excused from muster drills (after the first one). But we have also been on cruises where the Captain insisted that all passengers attend all the drills. On one HAL cruise from Quebec City that we took all the way through the Panama Canal and up to San Diego, the Captain required us to attend 3 muster drills in the first 9 days (Quebec City, Boston and Ft Lauderdale). He made a point of telling the passengers that is was a small sacrifice to better ensure our personal safety.

On the Regal Princess (last week) those who had done the short New England leg prior to when we boarded, were excused from the muster drill before we left NY.

A few years ago we did a repositioning cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Seattle. Had to attend the lifeboat drill in Ft Lauderdale and San Diego.

Did the same cruise the next year -- only had to go to the lifeboat drill in Ft Lauderdale.

Had the same captain for both cruises.

You never know what will be required.
