Solitarycruiser Posted February 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Is it OK to board the ship at noon so as to be able to have lunch on day 1?
Rare Tothesunset Posted February 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Yes. We do it every time.
MLeh Posted February 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Yup. Can’t go to your suite until 2 usually, but that gives you time for drinks on the pool deck and a nice lunch. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Sent from my iPad using Forums Weather permitting this is our typical choice. On the Spirit last November weather was not so good....drizzle and cold....so we ate in La Tarrazza. Not a bad second choice. 😀
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2018 This is what we did. We boarded around Noon. We were fortunate that the room was ready early. And we enjoyed lunch at 1:00 PM. Keith
MBP&O2/O Posted February 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2018 What would be the earliest time you could arrive, dump your bags, and go for a wander until they let you board? We are overnighting in San Juan so we can ‘check in’ any time. Speaking of which, is it normally pier #1 in San Juan? Keith Ooops. My memory was wrong. I just checked my Blog and our room was not ready until 2:00 PM so after lunch we walked all around the ship. Emtbsam Posted February 3, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 3, 2018 We usually board around noon, dump our carry on in the closet in our suite and then head to lunch. If the suite attendants are still working in the suite, we keep our carry on with us so as not to be in their way.
MBP&O2/O Posted February 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Just been checking and I find that the previous cruise to ours arrives San Juan on the Wednesday and we sail on the Sunday? If I had realised earlier I might have tried to blag a couple of pre-cruise nights on board [emoji3] Still, there shouldn’t be any problem with embarkation times ... unless I am missing something obvious???? MBP&O2/O Posted February 6, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Ah so .... this could explain the blank spot between our disembarkation (Sunday) and the next “listed” cruise (with a non consecutive number ... 2809 to 2811) which departs on the Friday. Now to resolve the blank spot between my ears[emoji849] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
