Rhapsody OTS Venice to Marco Polo Airport

Leaving ROTS on June 23, 2017. I need to know if we will be able to make a 11:05 flight. We are booked through ChoiceAir on Delta. Also will we have to go through customs in Venice? I don't think so but just checking.:D :D

Date is June 23, 2018.

We have a 12:15 flight in October on that same itinerary and Choice Air guaranteed we would get off the ship and get the transfer to the airport in time for our flight. Not sure about the customs part, haven't been through Venice in years.

Should be no problem making that flight assuming you are off the ship fairly early - you might consider self assist disembarkation..

You won't go through customs on the return journey. However, they have introduced a second security check when going to the gate. Worth remembering about it as it was an extra 15 minutes for us to go through it. Others may disagree but I found it to be one of the poorer airports I have had to go through. Crowd at gate was dreadful.

Quickest and probably the safest way to get to the airport on time is definitely to do self assist and then it should be no problem.

Earliest flight time RCCL allows for transfers to the airport when sailing out of Venice is 11:00 AM.

Venice can get fogged in the morning. So if you have a choice book a later flight.

We did that cruise last year and had a 12.15 flight. Our transfers were with RCCL and we were there in plenty time. We had time to shop in the airport and have something to eat.

If you dock early enough, you should be ok, especially since you booked your air through the cruise line. We were enroute to the airport by about 6:50 AM on our Princess cruise that ended in Venice. we beat the crowds that soon hit after we cleared security.
