We need to know if the new menu's shown if they will be available on the 7 day cruises or if they were special menu's just for these sailings. Definately some better choices on the newer ones I have seen. Would love to see those remain.

Royal loyals love to say that food is subjective and that RCL is as good as CCL, but they really should look at those menues and pictures and get objective!

My last CCL cruise was ok (last Jun) but those posted menues are awesome! There were additions that, if anything, defy "cost cutting".

Examples of what I noticed:

1) Addition of a rib eye steak

2) The old style filet mignon brought back. Combine that with the petite filet served with confit and that is two nights worth!

3) Addition of sword fish medallions. Even the cheapest swordfish isn't cheap- hope it's good (and please, no lectures about the dangers of mercury!)

4) I didn't see the bbq pork ribs, maybe they were dropped. I am not a pork eater, but I can see how that might disappoint some.

I really hope they make this menu fleetwide.

You again are making the parent Company full of envy..

Your phenomenal work makes them look paltry and lazy ..

Is CC here going to get FREE PR down ion FL when we are able to be aboard her, DREAM, God willing ?

They have FREE Parking that day in Terminal 4, too at the Port for it.

That is the porn. Photos of scrumptious dishes is called "food porn" on message boards. It makes ppl drool and want to eat it and, in the case of vacation places/ships, go there.

Interesting! I never would have guessed such a thing. Thanks for enlightening us!:)

No problem. I've also seen it used to describe a collection of photos of other things people drool over, not just food. I can't recall the things I've seen, but an example would be for those women who can't stop buying shoes, they'd have "shoe porn" - a page of photos of shoes! Mostly, though, I've seen it about food ... or maybe that's just 'cause that's what's loved on the message boards I frequent.... ;)

I am curious as to what the charge was in Chef's Art for the LUNCH menu. Also - hoping that it was not something which will be limited to the Transatlantic crossing (given that there are FIVE sea days). I would love to see a lunch option in there for sea days on "regular" sailings.

The 7 day menus are the ones that begin D7*, but they can substitute other menus, or make one up, for any reason, or no particular reason.

The charge for lunch in Chef's Art was $10 as was a bargain. Since it is directly under the basketball court not sure if they will offer on a regular basis. I tend to doubt it, at least until enough people demand it. They didn't ofer on the Med cruise and weren't even sure if, what days, or charge for the TA cruise until a day or three before.

Food porn updated through last night.

Enjoyed your pictures very much. We were on the Pride out of Baltimore this past summer. It was our first time on Carnival. After a disappointing cruise, in terms of food enjoyment, on the Celebrity Constellation we decided to try another line. My husband is new to cruising. I had been on RCCL and Princess in previous years. We LOVED the food on the Pride, in every way including variety, temperature and presentation, but most important, flavour. All of the meals we had were so delicious...excellent sauces, superb vegetable side dishes and really delectable desserts. The food, alone, will be enough to lead us to select Carnival for future cruises.

I am right there with you!

We have sailed on Celebrity Century (2X) and the Constellation. Our only "nice" meals (due to service, selection, and quality issues) were in their specialty restaurants. For our upcoming New Years cruise on the Century we are dining in Murano EVERY night, totally skipping the main dining room. On the first night of our last Century sailing it was close to 30 minutes before our order was taken (main dining room)...
