We usually stay at the hyatt-Pie 66 or Marriott Marina.

Mezzaluna is a very good italian restaurant nearby. It is about a $5 taxi ride.

It's always packed, so make a reservation.

On A1A---Casablanca is delicios as well> was at both last weekend.

Not sure what you want to spend but we stayed at the Hyatt Pier 66 and there is a GREAT restaurant there called Grille 66 & Bar right on the marina.

We stayed there pre and post cruise and we met another couple traveling with us at this restaurant for our last night in FLL. They had an amazing price fixed meal. You get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30 We ate on the deck so we were right on the water. The food was very good and very reasonable. Their regular menu is much more I believe entrees were about 22-30 alone.

This was the menu when we were there:

Appetizers:

-Soup of the day

-Shrimp Spring Rolls, Cucumber noodles, and sweet and sour dipping sauce

-Ceasar salad with garlic croutons

-Seasonal Mixed greens with vine ripe tomatoes with balsamic vinagrette

Entrees:

-Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Mediterrean Coucous salad, aged red wine vinagrette

-Maryland Crabcake with French fries, roasted sweet corn-jalapino relish-and sauce remoulade

-Ribeye Steak 12 oz aged 28 days with baked potato

-Steak Frites 12 oz aged 28 day rib eye with crispy fries and maitre 'd butter

-Veal Picatta with roasted potatoes

-Pork Chop with Lyonese potatoes

-Ashley Farms Double breast of chicken with lemon tarragon butter and mashed potatoes

-Rigatoni bolognese

-Penne with Sauteed chicken, Italian sausage, oven dried tomatoes, fennel and nicose olives

Dessert:

-Key lime pie

-vanilla bean shortcake with blueberry compote and whipped cream

-Vanilla or chocolate homemade ice cream

Available:

Monday thru Friday 5:00pm thru 11:00pm

Saturday 5-7pm

Sunday 5-10pm

Happy hour 7 days a week with complimentary hors d'oeuvres

Instead of going to the Cheesecake Factory, which is a chain and you can go any time, why not go somewhere more unique that has a view? Like one of the restaurants overlooking the beach (there's quite a range of options) or one of the restaurants at the River Walk complex where you can also dine outside overlooking the river and the passing boats? These places all have a lot more atmosphere, are really fun, and you'll feel like you've gone somewhere. BTW, some of these places have tables with benches that are gliders/swings (picture a picnic table combined with your grandparents glider on their porch. Fun!

Another good restaurant is Cafe Blue Fish on Sunrise behind the Holiday Inn Ft Lauderdale Beach. It is an open air restaurant with great seafood. We are going to eat there again this year even though we are staying at the Renaissance Hotel. The coconut shrimp is very good. Enjoy!!!:)
