CJinFLA00 Posted April 23, 2010 #27 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Wow, I'm missing out. I've always known you can order room service, but never have. Next cruise I will for sure. Thanks for sharing!

LHP Posted April 24, 2010 #29 Share Posted April 24, 2010 Every morning...coffee, bagels and cream cheese and danish. Every night (our son) gets a turkey sandwich and choc cake. We were so proud when our son (who has Autism) learned to order it himself (and tip when it was delivered) !!! They use to have it "numbered" and he had the numbers memorized. It is a little harder now that he has to "say" what he wants....but he still can do it.
cubfan63 Posted April 24, 2010 #30 Share Posted April 24, 2010 Another big yes to the Striploin and Brie on Baguette (with chips). The Pastrami sandwich is also very tasty from room service.

cruzngma Posted April 24, 2010 #33 Share Posted April 24, 2010 BLT on rye, tuna on English muffin. But I take the tuna off the muffin and add it to the BLT. That makes my favorite sandwich, Tuna BLT on Rye!
Froufie Posted April 24, 2010 #34 Share Posted April 24, 2010 do they have fruit on the brkf buffet on the lido deck? Yes they do...and I believe they have a fruit salad on the room service menu?

We actually call right before we leave the casino and it gets to the room within 10 minutes... Also, not on the menu, but my kids order it and think they are the best ever... Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! With milk..........deeeeelicious... I did not know you could still order chocolate chip cookies. I thought they jtook them off the menu - just 3 weeks and I can have them late at night with tea on the balcony - priceless!!!!

mjmiller Posted April 24, 2010 Author #38 Share Posted April 24, 2010 I've heard people talk about having the BLTs for bkfast - but I don't know if you can write it in on the bkfast door hanger or if you have to call your order in.
southbayer Posted April 24, 2010 #39 Share Posted April 24, 2010 If I choose to eat in for breakfast, I'd order a couple bagels toasted with butter, two orange juices, a yogurt, and a bannana for later. Never ordered a BLT, didn't know they looked THAT Good. Now I KNOW, Look out!!:D:D
Froufie Posted April 24, 2010 #40 Share Posted April 24, 2010 food sounds so good...can the sandwiches be ordered for breakfast? I don't see why not? Not on the 'breakfast card' but nothing stops you from picking up the phone and ordering whatever you like off the usual room service menu. Hmmmm -that gives me an idea? What about chocolate cake for breakfast? (I believe it includes all major food groups? :D)
Sarah@Sea Posted April 24, 2010 #41 Share Posted April 24, 2010 OMG I thought room service was just like burgers or pizza....I might not ever leave my cabin...lol...except to get the soft serve cone...to put ontop of some cookies!!!
cawagner Posted April 24, 2010 #42 Share Posted April 24, 2010 speaking of room service...is it anytime of the day? We have 2 excursions that start at 730am, was wondering if we would be able to get some breakfast delivered early enough.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted April 24, 2010 #43 Share Posted April 24, 2010 On my last cruise I ordered hot tea, chocolate cake, and a fruit plate every night. The first week after I got home, usually around 1:00 AM, I would lie in bed so hungry, wishing I could order room service. :( I can't wait to cruise again!! Carnival room service is 24 hrs/day, no extra cost at any time, but it is appropriate to tip the person who is delivering. :)

West Tx Desert Rat Posted April 24, 2010 #46 Share Posted April 24, 2010 Every night I set that card on my door for the salmon, bagels with cream cheese, fruit and a pot of joe. The rueban is also a good choice for a good lunch then a nap.

Lady_Jag Posted April 24, 2010 #49 Share Posted April 24, 2010 I fill out the room service breakfast card every evening, as a sort of wake up call. I always order hot tea (decaf) for me, and a couple of muffins for my little one (she LOVES the chocolate ones!) Sometimes, I'll throw in a nice croissant and strawberry jelly for me, and a couple individual boxes of cereal for little one to snack on while in port. But I digress... The best room service items I've had thus far are the steak & brie sandwich and the chocolate cake! DD can't get enough of that cake, and I can see why. It's a very moist chocolate layer cake with fudge icing and a scoop of rich chocolate mousse garnished with chocolate slivers on the side. I know I'm going to shock a lot of people, but I liked it better than the warm melting cake.
