"LIVE" From The ALLURE Of The SEAS 3-30 January 2011

Recommended Posts

Hi Jim,

I do have one question: Did you get the new coupon book? If so, are the same coupons as last year? (free photo, internet time, BOGO)

I have a new booklet for Diamond Plus / Pinnacle

There is a Buy One, Get One Free coupon for any speciality restaurant for the cover charge.

45 free internet minutes

25% discount on an internet package

Plus lots of the usual stuff...

Is the BOGO for the specialty restaurant only good on the first night as in the previous books???

Been waiting for you to leave so we can go along for the cruise. Just love to read what you have to say and the pictures are so down to earth. That's why we all love to sail with you Jim. You make us feel like part of the family with your adventures.

We were just leaving FLL on Sunday and saw the Allure in the port. It was sunny but cool and I was thinking of you.

Keep the good information coming along with the "food" pics.

Thanks,

Julia

I don't know if it is the cloudiness or the haze in the air or a setting in my camera but outside photos seem hazy. When we sail and the photo shop opens I am going to go and ask them for advise.

Trainman - It might be condensation on your lens when you move from a colder, dryer air conditioned room to the warmer, moister outside air. This creates foggy pictures. If so, your camera should adjust after several minutes when it warms up. I usually put my camera on the balcony table for a while before going outside to give it a chance to adjust before I'm ready to take a picture. I lost a whole series of great sunset pictures on the Liberty last summer because I didn't do this. :(

Day 3 - TUESDAY - At Sea

Good Morning Everyone,

Breakfast in the Windjammer was a "Two Plater" this morning...

I must admit that I had never thought of baked beans for breakfast until I started seeing them on RCI Ships. I am told that this is common in Europe.

I enjoy them and that is what counts.

More later folks...

I have a 9 am appointment with the Loyalty Ambassador and then out M&M is at 10:15.

Trivia Question of the Day

What color is the main hull on the Oasis and Allure?

Hint - They are the only two ships in the RCI Fleet with this color

Any idea why they are blue? Also, non cruise related. How do you like Palm Coast fl ? It is a place we are considering if we move south.

Hi Trainman

Always love your "live" posts. Thanks.

Are you by any chance in one of the HC cabins? And if so, would you share which one?

I believe he mentioned he was in cabin 6672 which is not a HC cabin... I also am interested in any info or pictures of HC cabins, when I travel with my mom I definitely need one since she has limited mobility and travels in a wheelchair. We'll be on the Oasis in April and have a HC hump cabin.... it will be my mom's first balcony cabin...... I can't wait!:)

Starting to see some action on the pool deck.

It is still windy. Captain Johnny said 40 knots of wind over the upper decks. But is is much warmer and even hot when in the sun.

Even the trees in Central Park are blowing around!
