What would you like to see on Royal Caribbean's new ship(s)?

Solo-cruiser cabins with no overcharge.

Yes, please!!!! When is RC going to compete with NCL for solo travelers?

Also from Aviator: A large enclosed comfy library/reading room with an ocean view.

That would be awesome. Ships don't have enough quiet (no constant music), comfortable spaces where one can just curl up with a book and a beverage.

Revamp the shops thus the jackets, sweatshirts and logo clothing.

Most people have what they sell.

Sweaters, sweatshirts and jackets withOUT hoodies that have small logos.

1/2 the passengers live in cold weather parts of the country.

Pictures and disks kept by the photo venue for 2 weeks so that the LAST event can be ON the ship video you were on and you have ALL the events that took place on the last night.

People could purchase them, after they got home because they wished they had bought it but the last nights events were NOT theirs or they got out of the show and the photo shop was closed.

Family suites both inside and out...Love the Family suite but there are not enough of them.

Less space dedicated in MDR because there are more dining venues...Take away one deck of them.

Single cabins and area (and price) like on NCL Epic.

Adult only areas that are adult only, 21 and over and enforced.

More MTD time available. Hated being on a dining schedule on vacation. I know I could eat WJ but like the service of MDR.

Other than that, enjoy my RCI experience.

The one single thing I would like to see on RCI's new class of ships is free Wi-Fi and internet connections. The internet has become an integral part of life and should be automatically included in shipboard life.

Ditto!

How about an underwater restaurant or bar.

It could be below the waterline with views underwater. Or it could be below the pool with windows into the pool, or perhaps a skylight that was the floor of the pool. It would definitely be different.

Ditto!

LOVE the idea of lazy river also (preferably one for adults and a separate one for kids).

Also would love a water slide that goes over the ocean.

• More like Radiance Class ships, lots of windows

• More elevators, or larger elevators

• Outdoor eating areas like Radiance class

• Heated pools with retractable roof

• More seating in the Adult only Solarium

• MTD separate from MDR so you may enter doors on both sides of the ship

• Quiet areas to relax and view the sea

• Perhaps an online meeting place to arrange to meet for bridge, chess, and other games

• Balcony cabins set up with sitting area next to balcony, bed near bathroom (like Vision class)

• Larger tables on balcony for meals

• Status of how busy eating venues are from your cabin TV

• Menus of what is being served in each eating venue from cabin TV

• Nice relaxing place for afternoon tea or snacks

• At least one side of the ship (port or starboard) completely non smoking so you may walk from one end of the ship (on any floor) to the other end without walking though smoke fill areas, including a wall separating casino into two with a smoking half and a non smoking half

• Non-smoking balconies (or at least on one side of the ship)

• Beds set up a little higher to easily fit luggage underneath

• Less Bingo announcements

• Change the announcements so you can turn on and volume up or down in room with control next to the bed. I hate to have to run to the door to prop open to be able to hear the announcements

• More comedians

• Put on Plays (drama or comedy) showing several times during sea days and at least one evening

• Water slide

• Movies outside under the stars

• Higher speed internet & computers with up-to-date software

Oasis and Allure have movies outside, a comedy club

I agree with EVERYONE who posted to this thread regarding FREE INTERNET AND WIFI for everyone all over the ships. They are re-wiring the Vision to have wifi all over the ship, so it is not impossible to do. The Oasis Class ad the new class of ships being built will have accessible wifi.

Now all they have to do is make it FREE. The internet has become such an integral part of our lives that many people don't take longer cruises because of the expense of technology access aboard the cruise ships.

How about someone who polices the pool area, and other areas if need be, to insure people (and not towels/books/etc) can enjoy the use of the pool/sun/shade on the pool deck?? Other areas could include the theater where people attempt to hold a row of seats for their friends while others have to hunt for a place to sit 15 minutes before the show. Someone in a secrurity outfit could work wonders in these areas. Talk about a WOW factor. You could actually get a seat!

Sounds like a great idea, but I doubt they could ever have the throughput necessary to support an entire ship full of people using the internet for free (at least not in the near future). Part of the purpose of charging for it (besides the obvious profit) is to limit the number of people that use it at one time, due to limited bandwidth inherent with a moving ship. But it's fun to think about it.

I think it would be neat to have an area where there can be a type of snowfall--perhaps in the seating part of Studio B during the ice show. While those from the North want to get away from the snow, it would be a treat for some who have never even experienced a snowfall, as well as for those of us who do not get enough of it.:)

HIGH SPEED INTERNET!

Okay, at least moderate speed internet.

Should be getting that this summer if the 03B trials workout. They can offer 1GBs per stream, ok spread across 6000+ users that is not much but it's a big step in the right direction and who knows how many streams each ship will have. End of the day how sad would it be if you spent all your vacation time on the internet.

Has anyone said anything about adding elevators that go from the front of the ship to the back? NO way am I reading through 26 pages to find out!

Really there are people out there that are that exercice allergic ?

Do RCI rent out electric scooters like the ones you see in Disney.

Don't they say 75% of bookings for shows never turn up, maybe they need to review the whole process, if you book and don't cancel 15mins before curtain up you get charged.

Or a small charge for the ability to actually reserve specific seats, the more expensive cabins already have this facility.

Watch this space. In fact the Beam follows the ship around on the O3B system. Better connectivity is no the way.

Just my personal take:

  • Build the ship from the OUTSIDE-IN. I never understood why all the shops and attractions are only accessible from the inside. A simple covered (or uncovered) "promenade" that you can walk down and enter into shops/casino/bars/etc. would be nice.

Sounds like this new ship:
