What would you like to see on Royal Caribbean's new ship(s)?

Real nightstands with a drawer. I hate those tiny little things on the Oasis. Please, Royal Caribbean...put in the nightstands like on the freedom class!

Also, please do not go backwards with stateroom size. Keep the freedom sized rooms. I found the Oasis staterooms a tad too small to really enjoy.

Thank you :)

Pat

How about an underwater restaurant or bar.

It could be below the waterline with views underwater. Or it could be below the pool with windows into the pool, or perhaps a skylight that was the floor of the pool. It would definitely be different.

rooms for larger families, rooms for solos, deck chairs that are reserved by room or SOME SYSTEM that would actually work, spa therapy rooms that overlook the ocean and not a wall, sushi bar, high tea, 24 hr food beyond pizza, more electrical outlets in rooms, less height to the lip in the floor so it is easier for wheelchairs and walkers.

I would really like to see a lazy river that goes around the entire top of the cruise ship. I looked up who makes Flowriders and they do make a Flowrider with a lazy river that goes around it. They just need to enlarge it so it goes around the entire ship. A waterslide of some sort would be great!!

I like the idea of the solarium with a roof that retracks. Must be for adults 21 or older.

I also would like to see a ship that caters to adults only or at least have sailings that are adults only.

I would also like to see state rooms that have jacuzzi tubs on the balcony. Have sliding doors on the bathrooms. Put outlets in the bathroom so you can dry your hair in the bathroom. Just put them in a place that water wont touch them.

I also would like to see a ship that is all-inclusive. Pay one price and have everything included would be awesome. Have all drinks, specialty restarants and all shore excursions included!! :p

multiple dining and live entertainment options. Big name acts and live music. Comedy club. Sushi and noodle bars. Brazilian steakhouse. Tapas bar / restaurant. A nice upscale restaurant like 150 Central Park. Pub and Wine bar. More breakfast dining options. Boleros. Night club with live music and a good band. Aft adult area with pool, bars, and dining. No smoking except in casino and have access fore/aft route free of smoke. No smoking in rooms / balconies. A promenade. Outdoor dining areas like stern side of Radiance class ships. Movies under the stars with padded chaise loungers. More elevators. Ability to move passengers quickly on and off the ship. In short, combine the best of Oasis and Epic into a Freedom sized ship.

- self-serve laundry room

- two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabins for families (or even just one bedroom plus a living room with sofa bed and pullman beds); something more modest than the Royal Family Suite

- cabins for singles

- a group of three or four cabins centered around a common room, for groups (such as multi-generational families) traveling together; something like the Presidential Suite, only much more modest (and thus more affordable)

- a lazy river; I have no idea how they'd do it, but I'd love to see one anyway

- a waterslide for everyone; why should the kids have all the fun?

And finally, I'd like them build a ship that actually looks like a ship, not an apartment building that floats.

Comedy Club

- Pool Side deli/burger joint

- Self Serve Laundry

- Movies under the stars

- No Smoking on entire ship- including balconies

- Drink Card for unlimited (alcohol) drinks

I completely agree with the above posting.

I think it would be nice if pricing was all inclusive, that is, pricing like the resorts. (drinks, etc)

It would also be nice if pricing included gratutities.

Possibly have different packages available, example: have same room levels, with package A to include a specialty restaurant, package B to include an excursion, package C to include a spa service, just examples.

To reiterate: NO SMOKING!!! :D

No smoking on balconies

Raised place in shower to shave my legs

Casual dining room! We see more and more people on ship that just don't want to dress up to go to the dining room. Make one fomal, one casual

Better stocked library

Self serve laundry. Especially for the long cruises

Tips included in cruise fare

Opt out button on tv that controls in room announcements... (except important messages) MTD areas away from MDR seating. Use the theme "Sunshine" literally as much as possible on ship like Radiance class. Design flow patterns around elevators that don't dump people into areas that are high traffic like, Windjammer and pool area and RCI vendors. Bring back Seaview type venues that don't require up charge to use. Also a ship that can navigate most ports to eliminate specific ports only allowing for a broader range of Itinerary's.

The word is quickly spreading that Royal Caribbean has signed a letter of intent to build its next generation of new cruise ships. (At 158,000 tons and carrying 4,100 passengers, they're more Freedom-sized than Oasis-sized.) We're curious: What would you like to see RCI include on these new ships in terms of dining, public spaces, activities, etc.?

None of those Gawd Awful big screens like Carnival ruined theirs with!

Solo-cruiser cabins with no overcharge.

I would love to see on these new ships a specific bar, lounge, club, restaurant and pool for whiners & complainers who think what they say goes for everyone. :)

I dont speak for everyone, but I would like to have service and food like it use to be when we first started cruising. Now you have to go to speciality resturants to get it.

Or how about a lounge for thoses that accept anything as acceptable regardless of what they pay for the trip.

More ocean view space... as in Radiannce--Brilliance class (been on both they are favorites... Coffee Spot /sitting area/snack area as in Adventure but high up with ocean views/Sea Breezes like the two previously mentioned less Atrium neighborhood mall style (I want to leave malls at home)

Expanded RCCL s model ship sales for fleet on each ship..not just the one your own..) Ship models,,, not just the glass cheapys..

Smaller ships to enable more ports --more intimacy -- eliminate Christmas season like mall atmosphoere ...

Last cruised Seaborn Pride and when all are things are considered I spent just a little more to experince what cruising used to be like and the best of what it is like ... and what RCCL was like back in 1996 on the Splendour..

After browsing through all these comments it seems that most relate to ship's policies rather than what you would like to see on the ship; what for example you like about another ship that you would like to see on the new one.

It seems the one consensus is the ship should look like and feel like a Radiance Class ship. That's my view also. If it has a promenade I suggest a laundry, self service AND for fee, where you can go get a suit coat or dress pressed while you wait rather than sending it through the cabin steward and not knowing when it's gonna get back. Since we cannot bring irons aboard it would be nice to take a few things and get them pressed immediately and then hang or store them.

I think a covered solarium is a MUST as the ones on Freedom Class and Voyager class are not really solariums. A two level solarium with seats/loungers on the second level would be great. We were on a Princess ship once that had that. And give it a retractable roof.

I like the idea of a water slide for all and a lazy river. I also like the idea of solo cabins with balconies. I may not use it but I have friends who want to cruise but cannot find anyone to cruise with them. Many ships already have family cabins that sleep up to 6 people and they could easily put some of those on the new ship.

I would like to see the electronics from the Oasis Class added for sure.

I don't care for all of those suggestion about more specialty restaurants and more casual dining, ala NCL. Royal is waaaay better than NCL.

Finally, make sure it has a promenade deck that is open and usable for sitting and not like the Oasis and Allure with it being only a walking jogging track with almost no seats.

Sorry to offend you with that joke, if you thought it was after you sorry, do you tend to complain alot or something?
