• More like Radiance Class ships, lots of windows

• More elevators, or larger elevators

• Outdoor eating areas like Radiance class

• Heated pools with retractable roof

• More seating in the Adult only Solarium

• MTD separate from MDR so you may enter doors on both sides of the ship

• Quiet areas to relax and view the sea

Expanded Balcony cabins for families that accomodate 4 people with actually 4 beds not a sofa bed--set up with sitting area next to balcony, bed near bathroom

• Larger tables on balcony for meals

• At least one side of the ship (port or starboard) completely non smoking so you may walk from one end of the ship (on any floor) to the other end without walking though smoke fill areas, including a wall separating casino into two with a smoking half and a non smoking half

• Non-smoking balconies (or at least on one side of the ship)

• Beds set up a little higher to easily fit luggage underneath

• Water slide--YES!!!

• Movies outside under the stars

• Self service laundry--Definitely!!!

*Other new itineraries to the Caribbean, esp. more southern ports

I would be excited to even see some of these listed included on new ship, I would book the inaugural in a second, having been on the inaugural for Oasis- it was awesome!!!!!

Larger casino with more slot variety

Adults only solarium (larger than previous) w/retractable crystal canopy

Outdoor dining at Windjammer (& others?)

Royal Prom open to sky or with natural light

More glass & floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views

Waterside

No cartoon characters

Movies under the stars/giant LED screens

Solo cabins with balconies & gathering area

Fountains & water features indoors & out

Less of the whimsical sculptures and weird conceptual "art"

More included dining options

More adult-oriented theme--less focus on children.

Sports bar with classic bar grub

New York-style deli

Better ventilation in areas where smoking is allowed

Self-service laundry (very spacious as it will be crowded) that offers pleasant distractions such as a snack bar, ocean views, flat screens, wifi, or reading material so you don't feel like you're missing out while doing your chores!

I posted this on a previous similar thread:

I'd love to see a dining venue that offered REAL Afternoon Tea. I'm not talking about cookies and teabags in paper cups in the Windjammer, I mean china teapots and teacups, scones and clotted cream, fancy pastries. They could do it in a restaurant like 150 Central Park that serves only dinner, like the Disney ships do in Palo. Though some bemoan the thought of more additional-fee dining, I'd pay a specialty dining fee for this. Maybe not $25, but I'd pay $10-15.

I'd like to see:

- a covered solarium

- elevators facing the water as on the Radiance class ships

- open area seating in the Windjammer

- singles' rooms

- a waterslide

- I like the Royal Promenade; I wish there could be some way of having ocean views from it though.

-Split bathroom plan

-Waterslide(s) for all to enjoy

-H2O zone for the kids, like on Oasis and Allure

-Separate dining room for My Time Dining

-Buffet/Windjammer open from breakfast through dinner - continuously

-21+ Solarium with plush chairs

-open promenade deck with wooden chairs/plush seat covers (and definitely no running track through it! This would be a quiet deck where you can sit facing the water and relax with a good book while enjoying the view of the sea.)

Deeper balcony!!!! It would be very nice to have at least 1 lounger on ALL ocean view balconies. It is one of my greatest pleasures in life to have my very own private little deck aboard ship. It is so peaceful, calming and even healing. Having a lounger to be able to completely relax my body while enjoying my perfect little piece of heaven on earth would deepen my gratification ten fold.

The word is quickly spreading that Royal Caribbean has signed a letter of intent to build its next generation of new cruise ships. (At 158,000 tons and carrying 4,100 passengers, they're more Freedom-sized than Oasis-sized.) We're curious: What would you like to see RCI include on these new ships in terms of dining, public spaces, activities, etc.?

Wine bar, better rates on internet, lots of glass like on the Radiance class, and tea time.

The one single thing I would like to see on RCI's new class of ships is free Wi-Fi and internet connections. The internet has become an integral part of life and should be automatically included in shipboard life.

Oh, and one more thing: a whirlpool inside the spa area so you don't have to troop through the solarium making puddles back to the spa.

-Definitely a heated pool, especially for non Caribbean itineraries.

-More hot tubs. I rarely get the chance because they're soooo crowded all the time (and enforcement of the child rule in hot tubs would be nice, too).

-I love the idea of a lazy river--don't know how they would do it either, but if they can figure out a flowrider, ice skating rink, etc....maybe they could get a lazy river included

-Hammocks

-A smoker only lounge :=

-Casual option to MDR where it is included as the MDR is, but not a buffet like Windjammer (and is casual!)

-Comedy Club

-Food choices in wine bar or other lounges

-Music club for Open Mic Jam nights (for passengers)

It seems there are a lot of "wasted" areas on most ships during the day. maybe repurpose some of these to provide more options for entertainment so everyone's not always going to the same thing at the same time.
