I did enjoy that treatment on my last cruse which was my 1st Platinum on the Valor... I was at the Casino bar on a port day and they don't open until 3 or something I was there at 1pm.. all I wanted was my Coke Zero.. and they were more then happy to serve me even tho they should not have;)
Catrin Posted June 4, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 4, 2011 Best Perks... FREE Laundry!! Free Entry in Slot Tourney and my favorite.... the question from other guests.. "why is your card Silver? ... Frank12 Posted June 4, 2011 #8 Share Posted June 4, 2011 the only perk i really like is how the help treats you when you flip your card out, even addressing you by name. almost like they used to treat everybody. I noticed this a lot on the Inspiration. Lots of questions like how many cruises, favorite ship, etc. Most also said "Welcome home". Staff did not even bat an eye on the Dream. Not one crew member said a word.
Carnivalcruiselady Posted June 4, 2011 #9 Share Posted June 4, 2011 Welcome to the Platinum club and enjoy all the perks you will receive. Anytime you have a problem just whip out your Platinum card. We asked for 2 lounge chairs on our Aft wraparound balcony. Within 10 minutes our room steward brought us 4. Instead of having to go walking around looking for empty chairs that of course are reserved since 5am, we just walked onto our balcony and had our own loungers out there. Cruise-Crazy Posted June 5, 2011 #20 Share Posted June 5, 2011 Don't you also get a discount on either the Platinum cruise or a subsequent one? On the milestone cruises you get on-board credit corresponding to what the cost of the cruise was 25 - 25% 50 - 50% 75 - 75% 100 - 100% Nothing for platinum though. :(
Rare Buffettfan 225 Posted June 5, 2011 #21 Share Posted June 5, 2011 Don't forget the "special" platinum members special line at Guest Services should you need it. Be prepared to get some looks though as many don't understand why you get to "skip the line"
sallyb Posted June 5, 2011 #22 Share Posted June 5, 2011 We will be platinum on our next cruise and I have heard two different things about laundry service. Is it only once or unlimited? I need to know how to pack!
Catrin Posted June 5, 2011 #23 Share Posted June 5, 2011 We will be platinum on our next cruise and I have heard two different things about laundry service. Is it only once or unlimited? I need to know how to pack! On our two Platinum cruises (2009 and 2010), we took advantage of the free laundry service almost every day. Having three kids will do that!!
