HI Cruisenanny,

I was on this cruise to Bermuda with you. I'm reading through your review and it is excellent. It was our 1st cruise of many I expect to come in the future. I just saw that you posted about going to the Marcus Monroe show. I'm not sure if it was the same night but my husband, Mike (super shy) was called up on stage to be one of the helpers, haha, so maybe you saw him. I didnt get to connect with anyone from cruise critic during our sailing, had no access to phone/internet and have a lot of CRS so couldn't remember where everyone planned to meetup. We had a great time on the ship and in Bermuda. I want to go back and visit there again! I will try to post a review also, your is awesome! I love your pics, you got more shots then I did. Looking forward to reading more of your review.

Dawn

Hi Dawn!

I think I remember your husband, too funny! Glad you liked my review & I will look forward to reading yours!! I din't have any internet access either, and I missed the meet & greet that I knew about ahead of time.:(

I am very sad to say that this was the last Miracle cruise to Bermuda:( Hoping somehow Carnival will change their mind... And their last scheduled sailing to Bermuda PERIOD is 4/12 on the Pride. So, at the moment we will have to choose another line if we want to cruise Bermuda beyond next April... Strange, isn't it??

Yes, that is strange. I was saying to myself when reading your comment ok I can't go out of NY but I can leave from Baltimore but as I read on I see nomore Bermuda cruises for Carnival.

Really enjoyed your review. I am really excited about my cruise to Bermuda and your review is really going to help me in my planning since I have never been to Bermuda.

Thanks for taking the time to do a review with all the pictures.

Janice

It was my pleasure Janice! If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I will answer what I can. Enjoy your visit to Bermuda!!!

I am just hoping they will somehow add a few runs at some point, Baltimore would be just fine!

Thanks for the amazing review. I cruise the Miracle in just three week, and I am definitely looking forward to it.

Have a great cruise, will you come back & tell us all about it?

Thanks for the review. It was a mini return to our cruise earlier in the month, but the food porn is not good for our post cruise diets.

Glad you enjoyed the review, were you on the 9/11 sailing? I hear ya about the food porn, I was just on zydecocruiser looking at the new 5 day menus with food porn for our upcoming Ecstasy cruise.. Not a good idea lol

I was on the 9/11 sailing. We're not big shutterbugs. We have a point and shoot digital camera and only took 80 pictures and half of them were of the evening sailaway, so I did a review without pictures. Some posters added pictures that very nicely added perspective to the review.

No matter the size, all reviews are appreciated for taking the time and sharing. All my photos so far are point n' shoot too.

Great photos! My girlfriend and I were on the same cruise as you and had an amazing time. It was our first cruise. We were so relieved when we didn't get shipped out of Bermuda after that first day. I didn't read all of your details yet but I will definitely go back and read it all soon.

Also, we were on the same deck as you. OS 6273 with an extended balcony. We couldn't have been happier. :)

Thank you for a wonderful review filled with lovely pictures and action adventures(scooter), very detailed. I also looked into the Miracle going to Bermuda and was disappointed to see that Carnival is ending(or so it seems) cruises to Bermuda. I did notice that NCL Breakaway(Norwegian's newest ship) will be making that trip. I believe NYC will be the home port. Being from the upper midwest; it's easier(and cheaper) for me to get to NYC then to Miami or any other FL port. I've only cruised Carnival but I'm willing to try new things. The Breakaway looks interesting. NCL is marketing the ship as all the good things the Epic is without all the 'bad' things.

My only hesitation is the cruise only visits 1 port. Did you find yourself getting bored? A part of me is saying the traditional Bermuda cruises will be more laid back because you are not rushing on and off the ship due to the fact you literally have 2.5 days to visit the island.

Well anyway...thanks for the review. I knew it was very time consuming. But much appreciated.:D

You will love Bermuda & 2 1/2 days is not too long. You just won't have to beat yourself up to see & do everything in a shorter time.

There is a Bermuda thread on here that I found quite helpful.

Thank you for a fabulous review!!!

Love the pictures..... love seeing pictures of my upcoming ship.

I am with you with MDR lunches... I always find them to take too long and the food to be just okay.... I personally like to have a quick bite for lunch and then go back to my cruise activities.

I just stumbled upon this review today and wanted to tell you I enjoyed it alot! I was on the 9/11/11 to Bermuda and we too had weather issues! Had a great roll call for the trip though. I see Jill and you had been in touch! I recently wrote a review of the trip to get rid of the winter blues. Unlike Jill who just took another ride on the Miracle to get rid of them! :D

If your interested...my review is in my signature. No food porn though....

Thanks and I took a look at your review, GREAT and your son is a cutie patootie:p

Sad that Carnival has abandoned Bermuda, so we booked HAL's LAST sailing to Bermuda, docking in Hamilton for 4 days and 3 nights. There are no more ships scheduled to go to Hamilton after that 8/26 sailing, I don't understand why everyone is pulling out of Bermuda, :(

Actually....NCL is continuing to go to Bermuda. 2013 they are bringing their brand new ship the Breakaway to NYC for sailings to Bermuda!! It will be the largest cruise ship to go out of NYC. I have never sailed NCL but might give that a try.

We will probably be looking at that option for sure!!. After this season all that will be left (to my limited knowledge)is NCL, Celeb and RCCL.....

So after touring the ship a bit more, we decided to go to the cooking demo in the steakhouse. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves good food, even my "stuffy Chef hubby" really enjoyed it. This solidified our plans to go to Nick & Nora's steakhouse on night five.

They bring out 4 chefs who will be cooking each course, soup, salad, entree & dessert. You are given tiny samples of each course after it is demo'd by the chef. First was a delicious cream of mushroom soup followed by a spinach salad, then the steakhouse's only chicken dish and last, a WOW tiramisu.

Shaun, the assistant CD is in the background here. He was Great all week, a funny guy!

The restaurant is below the whale tail funnel, & if you look up, this is what you see, pretty cool.

This might've been asked, and I may have missed it, but did you have to pay a fee for this session, or was it kind of like, a free thing, to get people to pay to eat at the restaurant? I ship out on Miracle May 14th (!!!!!) and would be interested in doing this, but I'm on a budget.
