My experience has been that the Concierge is busy working his/her current guests as well as answering emails for the following cruise. That is generally their priorities. I send e-mail requests the week before my cruise.

Isn't it possible for you to change the reservation on line at the Royal Caribbean website? I don't know about specialty dining on line but I know it's possible to change dining reservations, including my time dining on line.

Your name and info isn't even on any lists given to the concierge at this point. They only have your info given to them during the cruise preceding yours. As Scotty G suggested, wait until the week prior to your cruise for any special requests.
