Terrible News Everyone!

Judith and I have gone over to the "Dark Side"

We like the Roast Beef Sandwiches in the Park Cafe' so much that we skipped the Windjammer entirely for lunch!

I had two and a bowl of Potato Leek Soup!

Judith had one and a fruit cup

Less than 6 weeks and I will be enjoying one of those delicious roast beef sandwiches. Thank you so very much for posting this while you are on the Allure.

Hi I'm live here with this group. Really fun event at (smoky) Boleros last night- Name it and dance it. Great dance band in Dazzles, dance floor too small. Still enjoying healthy food in Solarium. Wish I could enjoy the gym, but unfortunately an employees' SMOKING area is underneath the gym and there is a ton of secondhand smoke in there. ATROCIOUS! I noticed it last year and complained and it got better, I thought. This time it truly stinks. Woke up coughing. New captain and first time for me with this cruise director. Captain is a hunk! We have great table mates and are loving the ship again.

Linda have been on the Allure twice, soon to be four times and have yet to smell any cigarette smoke in the gym and go there every morning and a few times before dinner???...K.O. Near Philly:)

Have an add-on for Google Earth that show HAL's Ryndam in port with you today. We were on her about 15 years ago. She is a nice ship but much smaller that the Allure.

Thanks for your "Live from" postings. Feels like I am there. Tried one of your breakfast sandwiches but did not like the grape jelly, otherwise OK. We will be in Labadee in May on the Explorer. Hope you have smooth sailing for the next sea day.

Jim....Just curious......why don't you go to the Concierge Lounge for a made to order breakfast? Also ......what is your cabin category there on Deck 6?

I really like the variety of offerings in the Windjammer. Occasionally I select something that I don't like but overall, it is my favorite place.

Here we are in front of Captain Hook's Pirate Ship

When it was over, we all agreed that it was the most fun adventure we had been on in years.

The tickets told us to report to the Bus Area but that looked like too far to walk so we took a short cut and went directly to the boat.

The guy who seemed to be running things took us aboard, served us drinks, and made us feel welcome. After awhile Judith told Rev we were leaving and Rev said "No Way" we are the only ones on the ship.

A few moments later it was clear that Judith was right, we were leaving so we asked what was going on.

The Wyndam was coming into port the the boat was told to slip its moorings and get out of the way since it was tied up right behind where the Wyndam was going to tie up.

So we sailed in circles around the bay for about an hour. We went up on the bow and had a relaxing cruise on our private Pirate Yacht.

The boat is impressive and does short lunch adventures and longer dinner adventures.

Eventually we got back to the pier and boarded about 60 people and sailed out into the harbor. The Crew put on an impressive show which included being "attacked" by a smaller pirate ship.

After the show we had a nice, but simple buffet of hot dogs, chicken nuggets, french fries, and cole slaw.

During the entire adventure we were served unlimited sodas, beer, rum punch, Pina Coladas, and water.

Some photos follow. I took a zillion and will post more when I get home.

We all recommend this excursion.

They also had a special kids program and had them participating in the show along with four adult volunteers involved in a Pirate Style beer drinking race.

Just as I was signing off awhile ago Judith said

"I think we are going to have some runners!"

All Aboard Time was 5:30 and this group showed up about 5:50 without a care in the world.

They finally lifted out the last gang way at 5:55 and we were moving by 6:00

There must have been 150 or more that arrived after the all aboard time!

Jim, thanks so much for an awesome day. It was such fun. It was the Ryandam that held us up, from Holland American, they came in late and really delayed the departure for most. However the tour lasted longer than was first scheduled because they wanted to give us our full time. It was a wonderful time.. I'm on my way to the CL, see you in a few.

I wonder if they were on a ships excursion? That happened to us in Puerto Vallarta....we had the cruise director on our excursion with us so we knew that the ship would wait!

Trainman, do you know if RCI ships have honey packets onboard? My DD dips her chicken nuggest in honey and asked me if we were going to bring some with us on our upcoming Freedom cruise.
