Discuss Implementation of Smoking Policy

According to the deck plan for the Enchanted looks like the walking/jogging track is in a great location on deck 19. I won't be effected by the smoke and smell on the walking/jogging track.

My reference was like what was old is new again. Back to a separate jogging track like we used to have in the past

I agree ... if I were a jogger and not a smoker, I'd pitch a fit about this.  People should not have to be around smokers if they don't want to, that's just nuts.  But I found a lot about Princess that's just nuts.

We are currently on the Enchanted Princess and the smoking policy in the casino isn’t being enforced at all. There are people ignoring the policy that only those who are actively playing at slot machines labeled as being in the smoking area can smoke every day. It’s absolutely miserable to even walk in the door in the evenings.

Unfortunately the staff doesn't have the stones to kick the smokers out who think the casino is a smoking lounge.

I honestly don’t know what the issue is.  I’m not sure if they are afraid of confrontation or just don’t care.

There would be confrontations and complaints against the crew member. I have seen people sitting at a machine smoking and not playing and maybe playing every 5 minutes or so at minimum bet. Sometimes they won’t play till they see a manager walking up. The drink severs are not going to do anything

IMO, afraid of confrontation. May be if we were gamblers we would complain to the casino staff or the HD. Maybe nonsmoking gamblers should push the issue with the casino staff.

What you describe is something I’ve  seen a lot. This cruise people aren’t even at machines They are just standing around. I haven’t seen any Princess casino this bad, at least not since the restart. I can’t really remember how bad it was in the past. It’s such a shame that Princess decided to make the casino a smoking area again. The smoke-free cruises were so much better. Smoke literally poured out the casino doors into the piazza on the first night

I have never seen a non smoking cruise on Princess but they did use to have smoke free on formal nights but that seems to be gone since the restart

There was no smoking at all indoors until about March of 2022. It was fantastic. Why they ever started it again is beyond me

I will admit when we were smokers we would use the casino as a smoking area when the casino was closed

Cruise Australia/New Zealand. There is no indoor smoking allowed. Period.

We were on the Sky last week. Great cruise except for the smoking in the casino. It was a special cruise perk for heavy gamblers, supposedly 450 of them. Who would have guessed that heavy gamblers are also heavy smokers (and drinkers and eaters)? First time in many cruises that I didn't gamble at all.

Perhaps a stupid question, but do they provide a lighter in the cigar lounge of any sort? Or at least matchbooks you can pick up there, or at the various bars?

Churchills Cigar Lounges are being (not fleetwide yet) phased out. The bars will not have matches.
