You know, I think those fake "jet engines" on the Coral Princess may be the silliest "design" feature on any cruise ship afloat.

I was thinking the same thing. What were those from? Some marketing campaign IIRC.

From what I read they are purely cosmetic designed to make the ship "futuristic" looking. Some one really needed to just say no but maybe they were the pet project of a high executive with little knowledge of ships and the sea.

it was a treat to see Allure sail away all lit up. She was the last to leave Port Everglades. Sharing a couple of photos taken off the webcam this evening.

I don't know if it was because of less light, but the quality of the port everglades camera was really bad today. They didn't even zoom in on people waving.

Why was the Allure so late in leaving? Also, why did the Holland America ship back up so far? I was thinking it was going to never stop backing up.

Saw post about the three ships RC will have in port on 12/8 as well as a couple of others. I hope the Webcam Facebook people remind us of that. I'd hate to miss it.

Good Morning ~ Quite the busy day today on PTZtv webcams with 14 ships total sailing away. The busiest port will be Port Everglades with 8 ships sailing out today.

Of course since it is Saturday OASIS of the SEAS is in port and will sail at 5pm

Today is the first of six days during Port Everglades’ cruise season, November through April, where eight cruise ships will be berthed at the same time requiring the use of all cruise terminal facilities in the Port. The other dates are: December 1, 2012; December 22, 2012; January 6, 2013; March 17, 2013; and, April 6, 2013.

Thanks to poster dmwnc1959 for this great screen capture of the ships lining up at the Port Everglades inlet about to dock.

Gordon once they started they sure were departing quickly..only Celebrity Eclipse remains in port still. Earlier in the afternoon she did say she would have a delayed departure but not this late.
