~ Watch RCI Ships Sail away~ New Views on Ft Lauderdale Webcam

Today is the last big sail away day for 2012. There are a total of 17ships sailing out on the PTZtv webcams today including 4 RCI ships Independence and Allure of the Seas in Port Everglades, Freedom of the Seas in Port Canaveral and Explorer of the Seas in Bayonne NJ

 

Explorer of the Seas on the NYHarbor webcam should be the first to leave

Having fun watching all the ships leave :)

 

Especially looking forward to Indy's departure as we have my cousin-in-law and his wife on board .. and it was them who reassured us that RCI was a great company to sail with when we weren't sure. They were right! Have a great trip guys (hope they got my text telling them to go port-side and wave!)

 

Had a wonderful 2 week Med cruise on Independence with my son and his family last August, made extra special by the fantastic crew.Wonderful memories.

Did they add new smoke stacks to the back of both the IOS and Oasis? There was this small black stack on the back of both I never noticed before. Are they new? Just curious.

 

 

New smoke stacks..I don't think so.

 

Good sail away today :) Indy, Oasis and Liberty all looked great.

 

In this screen capture you can see Indy of the Seas and in the background NCL Epic and a Carnival ship as they had just sailed away from Miami. Great zoom on the webcams

Great Sailaway today. Too bad for the Nebraska Corn Husker fans who had their banner backwards! Was it me, or did it seem unusual today that IOS had 3 harbor police with lights going as an escort? I haven't seen 3 with lights going before.

It's raining here in Arizona, so what a nice way to pass the afternoon, while I'm cooking up some braised lamb shanks for dinner, and watching the FT. Lauderdale cam, wishing I were there.

 

Oh, well.......I think it's just 80 days till we sail on the Vision, out of Ft. Lauderdale........to Copenhagen!;)
