The DW hit a $4,000 Jackpot on $1.00 Video Poker last year....It was our first NCL cruise.....:D

 

Now were booked again this May for Alaska on the Pearl on Hope it happens again..... :)

Twice was on the Silver Medal team for the shipboard olympics on the Skyward, got a keychain, one of those glasses they use for the Drink Of The Day, and a couple free drink coupons.

 

Won a couple hundred bucks playing bingo on the Leeward.

Tons of Knick knacks and cheap sparkling wine for winning trivia, Newlywed Game, What's My Line, Name That Tune, Quest, etc - have to say that the pens are great and the flashlight thingys are VERY handy. Two hand pays at the casino: Jewel for roughly $3300, Pearl for exactly $1200. Won the slot tourney twice for roughly $500 and $250 respectively.

On the "Spin to Win" machine in the Dawn casino, I won a 7 day cruise. That same week on Dawn, the "Spin to Win" machine gave me a specialty dinner for 2. Unfortunately, NCL casinos no longer have the "Spin" to Win" machines.

During our various NCL cruises, we have won two Amber necklaces from Columbian Emeralds. We won a bottle of wine from the Lattitudes Party. In the Gift Shop we won a small pocketbook. Anyone else?

I just won 202.00 playing Deal or No Deal on the Jade two weeks ago, it was fun! :D

 

I won about 700.00 in the Casino on the Gem a couple of years ago, that was fun too!!! :D

I won the raffle in the gift shop and got a whole bag of stuff...had trouble packing it. It included candy, mug, coasters, hat, travel bag, body lotion, etc. etc....something from every department. I was really impressed.

We've been on one cruise, on the Epic. Won the cruise through Casino's At Sea / Hard Rock Casino and upgraded to a balcony. So I figured I'd play as much as I could hoping they'd give me another cruise. Hit on the first and last days a few hundred on day 1, a few hundred a couple of times on the last day, lost some during the week. But the important thing was that I got a lot of play in. CAS gave us free drink cards, sent up chocolate plates a couple of times, and that last night I think a couple of my jackpots were almost 600 on one and about 500 on another, then about 300 on another couple of machines. When i got home I had more cash then I came on the ship with, after being generous with tips and using cash for souvenir purchases on the islands. Called Casinos At Sea a few days after I got home to see if they still had the other 2 free cruises they'd offered me that I never went to the casino to collect, and they said they didn't but based on my play on the Epic they'd give me another cruise for 2. Got the same Balcony room upgrade and the cost is actually about 200 less than last cruise. So all in all we did pretty well. I'd like to get invited to the slot tournament cruises where they offer the cruise and you get to do the slot tourney as well. Usually on those they give you the balcony upgrade gratis.

On our second cruise, we won 2 8x10s from the photogallery and I think we left the casino with about $250 more cash than we came in with.

Was on NCL Gem 2/14-2/23/13, out of NYC On last sea day, paid $20 to jump into last round of Bingo, buying 6 cards or the cover-all game and was also given 7 pull-tab strips + 50 raffle tickets for free cruise drawing.

 

Missed on the bingo cover-all (only had 1 uncoverred), and no luck on the free cruise raffle, but got the $2000 winner plus three $1 winners out of my 7 pull tab strips!

 

Couple that with a win at the free Spa drawing on 1st night (seaweed body wrap), and a 8x10 picture on a Deal or No Deal game card, not a bad 1st cruise!

I always manage to leave each cruise with a substantial Visa bill. Does that count?

Admittedly, I am typically not one to gamble because I tend to not be real lucky. After reading this thread I am thinking I need to venture out more.

 

Other then the casinos what activities should I pursue to hopefully change my luck?

 

In the casinos, any suggestions for those of us leery about dropping large sums of money at one time.
