Western liberty review march 24, 2012 with a great friendship formed

Recommended Posts

What the OP stated was that they received negative/questioning commentary from fellow cruisers about their attire and if it shouldn't matter, then they should have kept their opinions to themselves.

I will always have my "hoochie-mama" alert on, but it doesn't mean I'm going to confront these fashion-lacklusters. Well, not yet, until I start my own website that highlights "hootchie-mama" attire. :)

I agree with you, barring some serious offensive dress that forces me to cover the eyes of my 11 and 6 year olds, I don't care too much.

In terms of my post, I commented because in another post the OP also took notice of someone wearing jeans in the steak house which is the opposite of what they were experiencing, and went so far as to question a staff member about it because when they made reservations they were told the required attire was formal(ish). Why? They like to dress up so the fact that they were told to wear something more formal when others wore jeans is somewhat irrelevant anyway. To be clear, I'm not at all picking on the OP (I thought this was a fantastic review) I am just saying, it does cut both ways.

Have you tried chantix to stop smoking? My husband had a 3 pack a day habit for over 25 years and has been a non-smoker for 3 years now with the help of chantix. It truly was a miracle drug for him!! He took it for 12 weeks and that was it. It really increased our quality of life!

I will not take Chantix. Too many stories of negative side effects. I'm not a heavy smoker and the e-cig seems to be working for me.

AWESOME review! I can't wait to June 2nd....I hope I get to meet some fun people on board! I'm going with my future sister in law, my almost 21 yr old daughter and her best friend, my 17 yr old son and my 9 yr old son. Unfortunately, my fiancé can't take time off since he owns his own business (Bobs Lock & Key in PC)...FYI...I case you ever need a locksmith :)..so, it's just the crew with me.

You have really done an outstanding job on the review and I can't wait to share this with my kids to get them pumped!!! Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thank you, that is exactly true. Let me know when you start that website :D

Yeh that would be great to say hi to Sean and Nora! They are good people!

I know, we were watching the game last night and I fell asleep before the end. I asked Hubby first thing what happened and he told me they won!

Wishing the very best cruise ever and hopefully we can see some pictures from you when you return.

The breakfast burritos were awesome! I had one 5 of 7 mornings. The line was always short (no more than 6 people) and they had two people making them.

You told them if you wanted a plain or jalapeno tortilla, then you chose between regular and mexican scrambled eggs.

They had vegetables, sausage, chicken, flat tater tot thingys, several kinds of salsa and a few sauces like sour cream, guac etc.

They were so good.

I agree with you that Frank and Linda are super cool people and had fun hanging with them.

You guys were sort of naughty by putting your soda/water in your luggage (new rules), but then again that doesn't stop the booze smugglers either, lol.

When I am in Cozumel next I will ask for the balloon lady and tell her you guys say hi!

Great review!! It DOES make waiting till October that much harder, tho!

You don't by any chance have a copy of the fun times for the first sea day? If we're going to schedule a poker crawl on our roll call, I don't want it to interfere with Mixology lessons at the Alchemy bar! Thank you very much!

Frank and Linda, from the Meet & Greet, joined us when we were just about finished and we sat with them for a while and had some good laughs. We could already tell that there was something special about this couple.

I must say that normally, Hubby & I don’t put ourselves out there on a cruise and pretty much stay to ourselves, however, this time we both are so glad that we did open up because we met the nicest couple and know that we will see them again.

We are so glad you did allow us to hang with you two and get to know you... buds for life. We wouldn't of had as much fun on this cruise if it were not for meeting and become great friends with you guys. Unless I was trying to find 'the boys'. hehehe

Definitely going to try the breakfast burritos next time we are on a ship that it is offered. They sound delicious.

We have had letters before in our luggage stating that they went through our luggage because they thought there was something suspicious but never had any problems with how we pack our soda and water. We bring too much to lug around the first day before the rooms are ready.

Do say hi for us to Giovanna. Tell her, her US Yankee friends said hi and we will be there towards the end of June. Thanks

Frank & Linda showed up and the two chairs next to us were open so we were very happy that they planted themselves right there.

We ordered some drinks and a snack tray and spent a lot of time in the water. It was an absolutely perfect day with perfect friends!

Agreed... perfect day, perfect weather lovely day to be with perfectly great friends. ahhhh now this is living!!!

Damn you woman..I read this review while at work and got so engrossed that I am behind in work..HAHA! Sounds like a gret trip. Good luck with quitting smoking..as a smoker I know it is hard but you can do it. We are counting down to our short 4 day cruise in June. :D

We decided that it was time for lunch so we went to try the Blue Iguana Burrito Bar. We both got chicken burrito’s and thought they were very good. We saw Frank while we were eating and asked him to join us. He was looking for Linda. Throughout the week, we had seen Frank many times looking for Linda and it became pretty funny.

.... and even funnier to Linda (speaking). Many times I would say, "I was on the 11th deck just outside of the Serenity area, laying asleep on just a towel thrown on the deck", he walked passed me many times with my 'brightly colored' florescent lime green and yellow "Mardi Gras bead bag"... how could he miss me?? As it turned out, he was looking for red haired females in lounge chairs, not lying on the deck. lol... got to be comical I tell ya.

We called it a night around 1am (Hubby thinks it’s was more like 2:30am, but my notes say 1. Linda, do you remember?) and headed up to the room. We knew that we would see Frank and Linda in the morning as we normally had all week. It was a fantastic last night of the cruise!

I'm thinking that 2:30am was closer cause we practically closed the casino for the most part. .... and this was my first time gambling/playing at a casino ever. I usually drink the free drinks and he plays but with no free drinks... I guess I had to do something else besides standing there.

Funny when I had a drink or 2 and said... 'Luck be a fabulously generous lady tonight' then the dealer said, 'if you don't place a bet, luck will be a no body'. I of course laughed incredibly hard. He was better than the comedian at Punchliner that night.
